Although individual schools around the world share a number of similarities in their structures and roles, they also have their own distinct personalities. At the core is the following key characteristics: • The Catholic school treats every individual human person as a child of God called to share in God’s own life forever. • The Catholic school takes its inspiration from the ministry of Christ. • The Catholic school participates in the mission of the Church within the surrounding culture in which it lives and breathes. • The Catholic school is an inclusive community ideally built on love and formed by the interaction and collaboration of its various components: students, parents, teachers, non-teaching staff and members of the Board. • The Catholic school is at the service of society in both a critical and supportive manner.

Head Boy: I am the Head Boy of PCH and I am privileged to represent my school. I came from a small primary school like so many of you and I was very nervous and anxious about going to secondary school but I was also very excited. The first thing that struck me was the amount of activities and variety going on every day, both in the classroom with all the subjects and with extracurricular activities. Thomas Smith, KIlmaine

Head Girl: I am the Head Girl at PCH and I love the happy and welcoming atmosphere here. There are always smiling faces and someone who cares, there is always someone to turn to. So, while it may seem a very large school it is actually more like a big community. Your year head, tutors, teachers, all staff, prefects, Deputy Principals and Principal will all be watching out for you to help you to settle in. There is an old saying that “It takes a village to rear a child” PCH is just like a village. You will get to know so many people, not just your own class and, you will always have someone to talk to and to care for you. You will have great fun in PCH!

• State of the art Science Labs, Computer and Practical rooms
