Dear Family and Friends of The First Tee: On behalf of myself and my home office colleagues, The First Tee Board, our Founding Partners and Trustees, and our chapters in the great state of Texas, especially The First Tee of Greater Dallas and The First Tee of Fort Worth, it is my privilege to welcome you to The First Tee 2015 Network Meeting. First and foremost, this is your meeting. We have always viewed our relationship with chapters as a partnership. In preparing for this Network Meeting, we have consulted with many network leaders to determine classes and speakers that will best help you: • continue to build momentum to accomplish Phase IV goals; • focus on maximizing your positive impact on young people; and • grow through professional development courses. We have seen first-hand that chapters—regardless of their size—that invest in adult education and attend Network Meetings make considerable and consistent strides in fiscal sustainability and their ability to impact more young people in their communities. I am grateful for your ongoing commitment to the important work in your communities, and I thank you for being here on what promises to be an educational and inspiring occasion. I am especially proud of, and want to welcome, the record number of chapter board members in attendance. I also want to welcome this week’s very distinguished guest speakers who are sure to be both energizing and motivating. Additionally, I want to congratulate the 28 young people who are attending The First Tee Outstanding Participant Leadership Summit—you are incredible representatives of The First Tee and we are delighted you’re here. And finally, welcome to the attendees and speakers of the first-ever Outreach Summit. It is going to be a great week! As always, thank you for your participation and for being a significant influence as we help prepare young people for the future. Sincerely,
Joe Louis Barrow, Jr. Chief Executive Officer

Welcome to Dallas! We are thrilled to host the 2015 Network Meeting in our hometown and look forward to an amazing week of education, fellowship and dedication to the mission of The First Tee. The home office has a great week of events and surprises scheduled that are sure to create memorable experiences for all of us. Our chapter and staff are blessed to have the broad support of our community and an active board. We believe The First Tee of Greater Dallas will be a leading change agent for our participants, their families and the communities within our service area. We will broaden and deepen our impact in many ways, including: • Building a Learning Center at the new Trinity Forest Golf Club, which will be our first permanent home and the future site of the AT&T Byron Nelson Championship; • Expanding all phases of our programs to quadruple the number of Dallas-area youth served by our life-changing programs, reaching 100,000 youth per year by 2020; • Raising $10 million to support facility and program expansion; • Achieving Ace-level recognition while reaching more than 24,000 Dallas-area youth, and building on our momentum to reach young people at 20 program locations and more than 60 National School Program sites in 2015. Thank you for making the journey to Texas. We are thrilled to share our southern hospitality and together explore the broad spectrum of opportunities for The First Tee. Best Wishes,
Jake Sagehorn Board President The First Tee of Greater Dallas

Welcome to the 2015 Network Meeting! On behalf of the staff, board members and participants of The First Tee of Fort Worth, I would like to personally welcome each of you to the 2015 Network Meeting. It is an exciting time for The First Tee as it proceeds through Phase IV and reaches its goals of impacting the lives of the youth in your communities. For those of you who are attending your first Network Meeting, you will be inspired by the interaction you will have with the other chapters’ staff and leaders. Most importantly, you will be inspired by the youth of The First Tee who will be attending and sharing their stories and experiences of how The First Tee has changed their lives. The 2013 Network Meeting in Nashville was the first meeting that I had attended, and I was truly amazed at the energy that the participants had—it was not your typical “convention.” We at The First Tee of Fort Worth are fortunate to have many stories about our youth and their lifechanging results by being involved in The First Tee. Please feel free to stop me or the staff to share these stories with you. For those of you who want to take a “field trip” over to Fort Worth, please consider visiting our Ben Hogan Learning Center located at Rockwood Golf Course for a tour conducted by our staff, volunteers and junior advisory committee members. Thank you for attending this year’s meeting and bringing your expertise to share with others. You, as either a staff member, board member or volunteer, have the vision, the knowledge and experience to help The First Tee continue to grow and impact more of the young people of our great nation in an impactful way. Thank you to The First Tee of Greater Dallas, their staff and board for making the Network Meeting possible. Also, I would like to extend a special thanks to Joe Louis Barrow, Jr. and the home office for their leadership and guidance past, present and in the future. Sincerely,
Fred N. Reynolds Board President The First Tee of Fort Worth

ADMIRAL MICHELLE HOWARD Admiral Howard currently serves as the 38th Vice Chief of Naval Operations and is the first female four-star admiral in the 239-year history of the Navy. She graduated from the United States Naval Academy in 1982 and from the Army’s Command and General Staff College in 1998 with a Masters in Military Arts and Sciences. Howard’s initial sea tours were aboard USS Hunley and USS Lexington where, in 1987, she received the secretary of the Navy/Navy League Captain Winifred Collins award which is given to one woman officer a year for outstanding leadership.
