Sparwood: (30.4 km) 20 minutes to the north of Fernie, Sparwood has a developing mountain biking network, an amazing golf course and a whole lot of character. Elkford: (65.4 km) Even further up the valley, Elkford has great trails amazing hunting a lots of back country draw. It’s the last town you’ll drive through on your way to the Elk Lakes Provincial Park, 2 hours north of Fernie and an hour beyond Elkford.

Where can I charge my electric vehicle? Fernie is adding new EV charging stations this season! You’ll be able to charge your vehicle at the Visitor Information Centre this Summer, to the north of town on Hwy. 3, and there are charging points at City Hall near downtown Fernie. There are also charging points behind Smitty’s Restaurant on Hwy. 3 to the south of town, and points at Canadian Tire.
