St. Pete Says Gay By Gabby Reeder

GABBY REEDER

Pinellas teachers, leaders, members, and students band together to rally against the ‘Don’t Say Gay Bill’ on Mar. 12 in front of St. Petersburg City Hall.

The biting wind and abrasive cold didn’t stop opponents of the “Don’t Say Gay” bill from protesting outside St. Petersburg City Hall on Mar. 12. Ultimately, that was the point. Allies, activists, and members of the LGBTQ+ community gathered to oppose the “Don’t Say Gay” bill, which revokes schools’ permission and ability to teach LGBTQ+ history, speak about LGBTQ+ people, and

prohibit discussion with students about sexual orientation, gender identity, and any other topic under the LGBTQ+ umbrella. To welcome participants to the rally, the hosts sang an original song dedicated to Ron DeSantis: “We say gay, free to be gay, we say gay all day,” the tune jingled. Since the protest focused on safety and education of youth, the hosts

voices 59th Street Traffic Jam I enjoy walking from my home on 59th Street to the beach in the morning where some friends of mine do tai chi before the sun comes up. It is pretty much heaven on earth. When I walk home I usually go through Wood Ibis Park and up 59th. Most mornings I’m met with a parade of cars and trucks parked, idling, outside the guarded community’s gate leading north on 59th Street. Their idling engines stink, especially the diesels. I’ve been told the gated community owns 59th Street south of the gatehouse and they can open and close it whenever they want. I am also told the police will only enforce the no-park zone on vehicles that turn their motors off. So all those trucks are gassing everybody who lives along south 59th Street. Some mornings trucks waiting to get in pull around and idle on 27th Avenue South, gassing those folks, too. I’ve observed and photographed a resident near the gate

These are facts. We should call on Gulfport Pasadena Yacht and Country Club to tell trucks to line up out on their long entryway a couple blocks south on Gulfport Boulevard. Their idling motors won’t disturb any neighbors there. I’ve been told they’ve been asked before to use the Gulfport Boulevard entrance and they declined. If they refuse our request this time, we’ll have to call them what they are: bad neighbors. –April Arnesen, Gulfport

news Poisoned at the Park?

Gulfport Dog Owners Claim Their Pets Are Sick From City-Issued Pesticides By Abby Baker

TINA GRELLO

Let it Be ice cream shop owner says her two dogs, Keel and Bodhi, are suffering side effects from pesticides in Clam Bayou, Chase Dog Park, and Clymer Park.

Walking in Gulfport could be deadly for dogs. At least, some dog owners think so. Three dogs allegedly suffered illnesses from the chemicals in Gulfport’s side of Clam Bayou, Chase Dog Park, and Clymer Park, owners say. They’ve banded into a community action group, bent on seeing change in Gulfport’s grasses. The City of Gulfport says they’ve used the same pesticide and herbicide system to control pests and kill weeds for the last 10 years. In that decade, not much has changed with the process, says Gulfport City Manager Jim O’Reilly. “We’ve never had any complaints until now,” O’Reilly said. “They’re organic pesticides.” Dog owners Tina Grello, (who runs Let it Be ice cream shop) and Cindy Clayton are communicating with the City to find a solution, but it’s no overnight fix. “We are no longer walking in Gulfport; we are driving to St. Petersburg,” Clayton said. “None of our questions have been answered.”

4

Regular Chemicals Once a month the City of Gulfport hires Couch’s Pest Patrol to put out granules of Bifen and Green Gobbler pesticide and herbicide. Twice a year, they do the same for Gulfport’s Clam Bayou. Career horticulturalist Bob Bates spent most of his adult life working in landscaping in St. John’s County and surrounding areas. According to Bates, it’s not common to have an entirely organic pesticide due to the price and labor. However, oil-based insecticides like Bifen and the glyphosate-free Green Gobbler are options that run on the safer side, Bates told The Gabber. “I mean, I wouldn’t roll in it; the main purpose is to kill something,” Bates said. “But I find it very hard to believe that the use of those would have a cause and effect on making a dog sick.” Grello, the owner of two 13-pound pups, Keel and Bodhi, disagrees. She says this is something she’s experienced before while living in Jacksonville, but Grello never

imagined it would happen again in Gulfport. Her dog’s digestive issues started back up after the move to Gulfport three years ago. “I’m OK with weeds and bugs. Gulfport seemed like a place that wouldn’t be naive to the downsides of pesticides,” Grello said.

Chase Dog Park gets pesticides applied once a month.

“There’s a reason it kills … if you’re killing a small bug then you’re killing a bird and so on.” Grello says that back in Jacksonville, she and her two dogs tested positive for heavy metals and “their bacteria was way off.” Now, she says, it’s happening again. Clayton’s dog Lil Red survived a spinal fracture after being hit by a car in 2013. Learning to walk again was a lengthy, grueling process. In October 2021, a walk through Gulfport’s Clam Bayou nearly cost Lil Red her life again. Dealing with a visibly sick dog, Clayton checked her into Bay Moorings in St. Petersburg and received lab results that indicated weed and grass killer poisoning. Clayton associated it with her strolls through the Gulfport nature park. They don’t walk there anymore,

St. Petersburg isn’t the only city in Florida to host a protest against the bill.

my gender identity with a classmate. Without that freedom, I think I would have had a harder time realizing who I am,” Vanmiddlesworth announced. The crowd cheered in support. “It’s also important for us to have role models so we can see that it’s OK to be gay, or bi, or trans or anything in between,” they continued. “Teachers can make great role models. Especially for these underrepresented groups. They are some of the most easily accessible adults in our lives when our parents aren’t there for us.” Pinellas County teacher Lee Bryant spoke, joking since he was a teacher, he would quiz everyone’s

knowledge with a pre-test. He asked the crowd if it was OK to be LGBTQ+, and the audience met him with uproarious applause. “What some fail to understand is figuring out who you are is a part of childhood. It should happen in a safe and supporting environment. Sadly, the safe and supporting environment is sometimes not at the home. That is where schools come in. We will provide that safety and support these young people need,” Bryant said. Bryant continued his speech, sharing anonymous testimonials of students who came out to him. He concluded with a post-test, asking the same questions: Is it OK to be LGBTQ+? The audience responded

with enthusiastic “yeses” and strong applause. The Gabber spoke with a volunteer on congresswoman Michele Rayner’s campaign, Alliyah Edwards. “We’re now in a time where people do feel more supported. Given there is a lot more hatred, there is more support than ever and I feel like especially for our youth, [they] need us more than ever. It’s just nice to raise awareness about how important they are and how they matter,” Edwards said. “And just because you might not necessarily agree with somebody’s lifestyle, doesn’t change the impact of your life. So just be there and be a good person. It’s not that difficult. Human rights are human rights.”

Dry Times

Tampa Bay’s Drought Predicted to Continue Through May It’s another La Niña year, and weather forecasters predict a drier-than-average spring. Here in Florida, that’s proving true. On March 4, NOAA released statistics for its Drought Monitor, which stated that almost half of Florida is in a drought. According to scientists, there’s a 77% chance these conditions will linger through May. This is the second consecutive year with La Niña, compounding a historic drought affecting not only the American West, but Florida, too. Tampa Bay’s experienced one of the warmest winters on record, with 86 degrees in early March. According to Climate Central, Tampa Bay’s average February temperature has risen steadily since 1970, with a 6.6-degree total increase. For homeowners watching lawns and landscaping shrivel, there are solutions. “Natives are always the way to go,”

says native plant expert Michael Manlowe. “Yuccas, acacias, and opuntias (the blooming cactus) do fine with dry weather, as do beach plants, native sunflowers, and blanket flowers.” Manlowe says these plants easily thrive on little water. Brandon Moore at Tampa Bay Water also cautions residents to conserve. “Fifty percent of water usage during the dry season is for lawns, and over-watering can damage your

lawn,” he said. ”Some lawns may need only one day every couple of weeks.” One of the best ways to conserve water? Xeriscaping. Xeriscapes use plants that tolerate and thrive in dry conditions, offering a colorful yard – even in our dry season. “We use the term “Florida Friendly,” instead, “ said Teresa Budurek, Urban Horticulture Extension Agent at the Pinellas County Extension Service in Largo.

Sara Fludd officially opened the long-awaited brick and mortar [5004 Tangerine Ave. S.] on Saturday, Mar. 12. The dine-in cafe sells waffles, pastries, and coffee from 8 a.m.-12 p.m.

“It feels great, scary but great to finally be open,” Fludd said at the soft opening. “We can make a lot of waffles in this baby.” She’s referring to the spacious kitchen, which provides room for Fludd’s wholesale production and e-commerce packaging. Previously, Pop Goes the Waffle operated online and out of a food truck only. Fludd sells to local restaurants, such as Blind Tiger Cafe and Kahwa, but this is her business’s first brick and mortar waffle shop, and for now, she’s focused on becoming a Gulfport staple. “We’re so grateful and excited to be part of this community,” Fludd said. RHYS MEATYARD

3rd Ave. N.] opened on Jan. 4 of this year, and offers a long list of wine, beer, small plates, and live music each day. The goal is to provide artists a place to showcase and relax. Right now, the spotlighted creator is St. Petersburg artist Bula Barua. See the vibe (and the menu) at creativegrape.com. Mega Meatyard Alternative art fans know artist Rhys Meatyard as a nonbinary, ridiculously fun graphic designer in St. Petersburg. They also (uncoincidentally) share a name with the Meatyard Ybor, a future community working space with 55 slots for creators. Meatyard’s late grandfather, artist and Hillsborough Community College professor Jerry Meatyard, inspired Ybor City’s future coworking artist space, Meatyard Ybor. “My grandfather started an art collective in an old factory in Ybor in the ‘70s, which existed there until they were priced out by gentrification, so I am very excited to see something going in that will revive that spirit, and honor him in the process,” Meatyard told The Gabber. The location previously served as a warehouse at 2nd Avenue and 18th Street. If plans are approved by The City of Tampa, it will offer the 55 working spaces at a low cost, says developer Darryl Shaw.

Meatyard Ybor is an Ybor City warehouse that is slated to open as a multi-artist working space that pays homage to a beloved and deceased Tampa artist.

“There’s no critical mass, no central place for artists to come and create,” Shaw told The Gabber. “There used to be lots of artists in Ybor, but they moved out over time because things got expensive.” St. Petersburg resident Meatyard designed the building logo, but they are unsure if they will work on site. “They are trying their best to preserve any remaining history and honor its original use,” Meatyard said, referring to the site. Tacos, Please A Mexican restaurant called Tacos My Love is in the beginning stages of opening where Mid Peninsula Seafood previously stood at 400 49th St. S. in St. Pete. Owner and New

York native Pedro Rosales moved from up north and plans to bring the heat to the ‘Burg. “Basically we’ll have good authentic Mexican food, something that is lacking in this area in my opinion,” Rosales told The Gabber. Rosales adds that his concept is still in the process of being approved by Pinellas County, but he has big plans. “We’re going to have a largely plant-based menu and you don’t need to be vegan to enjoy it,” Rosales said. “We’re also going to have two different sections.” One section will be a bar and lounge space, the other; a dining room for families and celebrations. The owner hopes to host a soft opening by early April.

St. Pete Parks & Rec Offers Pop-Up Stand with Free Life Jackets By Abby Baker

ABBY BAKER

St. Petersburg Parks & Recreation teamed up with local fire rescue and Safe Kids Worldwide to pass out free life jackets for kids on Treasure Island Beach.

Florida has the highest drowning rate for children 9 years and younger, according to the Florida Department of Health.

St. Petersburg Parks & Recreation Supervisor Anita Westmoreland says the number of deaths are increasing. That’s why the St.

Petersburg Recreation Department, St. Petersburg Fire Rescue, and Treasure Island Fire Rescue teamed up to pass out free children’s life jackets on Monday, Mar. 14 at the St. Petersburg Municipal Beach (on Treasure Island). The City of St. Petersburg purchased the life jackets with a Pinellas County grant. “A lot of kids that come to visit with their families aren’t from here … they’re not familiar with water safety, and neither are their parents,” Westmoreland said. “We’re hopeful that they’ll keep them and use them anytime they visit or even on a lake back home.” It’s not the first time the recreation department hosted a pop-up life jacket event, and it won’t be the last. Madeira Beachfront Attractions of Yesteryear

A Beach Bear, South Pacific Fantasies, and a Toboggan Slide To commemorate the 75th anniversary of Madeira Beach, The Gabber will offer occasional ‘Madeira Memories’ throughout the year that trace the community’s history. Florida’s golden age of roadside attractions began with the dedication of Bok Tower in Lake Wales on Feb. 1, 1929 and continued until the opening of Walt Disney World on Oct. 1, 1971. Improved infrastructure during the Good Roads Movement made this significant era of Florida’s tourism possible. Old timers may remember two of these roadside attractions along the Pinellas beaches: The Aquatarium in St. Pete Beach and Tiki Gardens in Indian Shores. Escalating land prices – along with the growth of mega-attractions that offer climate-controlled escapism – hastened the demise of most smaller venues that emphasized Florida’s natural splendor. A Coastal Playground After Welch Causeway connected the mainland with Albert Archibald’s Madeira holdings on July 4, 1926, Archibald created an early coastal roadside attraction. Although his original casino suffered damage, he remodeled it into a bathhouse, built a new casino and added a restaurant and other amenities. He secured electrical and telephone service by 1928. Crowds flocked to Archibald’s at-

traction years before residential developments appeared along Madeira Beach. Swings, rides, and picnics brought the first waves of tourists. Archibald’s early success may have inspired the opening of Joyland Pavilion on Clearwater Beach in July 1928, a larger amusement park that included a water slide, Ferris wheel and the “Silver Dome Hall” with music and dance performances. ‘Tin Can Tourists’ camped in and alongside their jalopies on these beaches without anyone bothering them. Before county commissioners passed an ordinance in July 1935, vehicles also drove upon the shoreline of Madeira and other public beaches.

To compete with Joyland, Archibald added a concrete skating rink, small merry-go-round, and high toboggan slide in early 1929. Sleds plunged into an artificial pool dug into the sand. Patrons enjoyed music, dancing, and animal shows. By 1932, small cottages appeared nearby, as his Madeira holdings transformed from a stand-alone attraction into a resort. A Stormy Day and New Animal Shows An unusual storm with strong winds and high tides flooded Pinellas beaches in early March 1932. Hitting at the height of the tourist season, the tidal surge undermined Archibald’s casino and skating rink, damaged the toboggan slide, and filled its pool with sand. Other rides suffered irreparable damage. Soon after the storm, Archibald closed his casino. Despite this setback, Archibald found new ways to attract people to Madeira Beach. In 1933, he purchased an 80-foot private yacht seized by the Coast Guard during Prohibition. Rechristened “Archie’s Ark,” this boat became a gathering place along the mostly uninhabited beach.

theGabber.com | March 17, 2022 - March 23, 2022

In 1935, Archibald brought one of the first Canadian snowbirds – make that a ‘snow bear’ – to the area when he acquired a young Canadian cub that ran wild along Madeira Beach and swam in the Gulf. Although placed in a cage much of the time, the small bear had a reputation for chasing people along the beach that summer. Bill and Leon Walsh, owners of a fishing camp north of Johns Pass, invited tourists to a duck farm they started on their property in July 1935. A trainer who traveled with the circus made Johns Pass his winter home and invited audiences to watch as he trained dogs, monkeys, and other animals. Jack Hurlbut opened Marine Arena at Johns Pass on July 4, 1953. Located a few steps from the original 1927 Johns Pass bridge, this attraction featured a variety of marine life, including Paddy the Porpoise in the early 1960s. During the busy tourist season, Marine Arena offered three porpoise shows a day. Marine Arena closed in 1965, shortly after the larger Aquatarium opened near 64th Avenue in St. Pete Beach. The Johns Pass Aquarium briefly operated in

the former Marine Arena building during the late 1970s. End of an Era Nothing remains of Archibald’s Madeira attractions. Although a couple of his 1920s-era buildings found new life as shops, the last of them faced the wrecking ball in the 1970s. Condos immediately south of Archibald Memorial Beach Park occupy the site of his former casino. Similarly, condos and the Pier 60 parking lot have replaced the

Joyland Pavilion along Clearwater Beach. Tiki Gardens closed in the late 1980s, now transformed into a county-managed beach access parking lot. A store occupies the former Marine Arena building. The Aquatarium, re-branded as Shark World in a last-ditch effort to attract visitors after the 1975 film Jaws, closed in 1977. Silver Sands condos sit upon that site today. Although Archibald’s attractions operated for only a few years, his long-range hopes of luring people to Madeira Beach certainly succeeded.

This saves Gulfport the cost of running the elections, and the incumbent Council members a significant amount of time and resources to run campaigns. The lack of challengers may have many different causes – citizens are sufficiently satisfied, or are not adequately informed, or an insufficient familiarity, confidence or willingness to take on public service leadership. Gulfport would benefit from having a leadership pipeline of diverse citizens who are grounded in Gulfport’s history, informed about current realities, and capable of envisioning and implementing strategies for a sustainable, vibrant future. After two years of a global pandemic, Gulfport is emerging into a world with new challenges and opportunities. Gulfport is growing and its demographics are changing. This is an ideal time to engage citizens, businesses, and government in crafting a shared vision of the future that will help civic and community leaders prioritize and address Gulfport’s current needs and future aspirations. In April we will present a proposal for three Community Conversations that will use World Cafe® methods that foster respectful dialogue and documentation of group-sourced information, expertise and visions. We’re seeking sponsors, partners, and participants in co-creating these conversa-

tions to develop community strength, engagement, and uniqueness. Please take a seat at the community table to share your perspective. –Ingrid Bredenberg, Gulfport, on behalf of Gulfport Votes 100% Read Ingrid’s full letter online at thegabber.com and also to view a presentation to Gulfport City Council about this.

Get Rescued I am an 83-year-old widow and disabled. I lost my best friend of 15 years in December due to CHF and kidney failure. He was a little chihuahua named Sam, and it nearly destroyed me when he died. I was also disappointed by Get Rescued. I’ve been trying to adopt a chihuahua for three months, and I thought surely I would find one there. Maybe I was late getting there or they were all adopted already, but I am finding that even the shelters with their unreasonable demands are making it hard to adopt. I feel discriminated against every time I try to adopt a dog. It’s either my age, my disability, the fact I live in an apartment, or any other excuse they can find. When my husband died in 2014, my one chihuahua mourned his death until she died two weeks later. I kept my little Sam with me, gave him medicine twice a day even when funds were low. Sam and I lived in this apartment for five years but he was getting sicker and sicker and finally to

keep him from suffering, I had to have him put down. I hope I find one but at this moment I am totally hopeless at finding a best friend, and I have a robotic dog but its not working. Any dog who comes into my home will get the best care I can give it and all the love in my heart, for as long as I live. –Dearldean Hall, South Pasadena Read Dearldean’s full letter online at thegabber.com.

Lattes and Tampons

Coffee Shop Has Free Feminine Products but Doesn’t Need Donations Picture this: You’re sitting in the bathroom at indie bean spot Black Crow Coffee and in dire need of a tampon. One coffee shop owner has your back. Black Crow Coffee in Old Northeast [722 2nd St. N., St. Pete] keeps a supply of assorted feminine products in their one stall restroom, free for anyone who needs Coffee shop owner Dena Hawk says she buys the supply to highlight the normalcy of menstruation and help fellow women out. “There’s nothing worse than being on your period caught without a tampon in public,” Hawk said. “They’re expensive, and not easy access in most bathrooms.” She buys various brands and sizes of tampons and pads regularly to keep the pink-and-red painted box stocked. From time to time, she also stocks reusable feminine products.

arts Seven Questions: Rob McCabe

watching what was happening with the city. She said “Why are you crying for those homosexuals?” I was already upset; my mom needling me like that made me scream “yes” at her. She said quite distinctly, “If I knew you were going to grow up to be a homosexual, I would have had you aborted.”

Meet Gulfport’s First Openly Queer Poet Laureate By: Abby Baker

ABBY BAKER

Rob McCabe’s a queer and proud writer, storyteller, and poet in Gulfport. He was elected the Gulfport Poet Laureate and will hold his title until 2024.

To be fair, Gulfport’s only had two other Poet Laureates: the previous two-term serving Peter Hargitai and Gulfport Mayor Sam Henderson. But still, the tie-dye wearing, heartfelt Rob McCabe stands out in a crowd – an observation he’s proud of. McCabe is also the first openly gay Poet Laureate in Gulfport, and his work discusses not only the queer experience, but the thoughts of a writer not afraid to go places many do not. Two of his prominent poetry pieces, “Junky,” a work describing an addict who shoots himself with ink and “Wet Dream,” a muse on an imaginary experience with the deceased poet, Frank O’Hara, reflect just that. Originally from California, McCabe is a full time storyteller and writer. When he’s not writing, McCabe

spends time with his husband Tim and beloved dog, Lucy. GN: What do you want to be known for? RM: It’s important for me to say that I’m the first openly gay Gulfport poet laureate because right now in Florida we have all kinds of issues like the “Don’t Say Gay” [bill]. Everyone in Gulfport knows I’m gay, but this is the first official time there’s an openly queer poet laureate here and I’m proud of that. Bang, bang, bang – here I am. When did you first come out as gay? My mother came running up the stairs while I was watching TV [the White Night Riots in San Francisco]; she came up asking me “Why are you screaming?” – but I was crying,

How would you describe your writing style? It’s heartfelt. That sounds corny, but it’s true. It’s full of emotion. It’s also political, but I’m political, too. Why the fascination with Frank O’Hara? I’m always buying poetry books … that’s how I came across Frank O’Hara. I fell in love with the guy right then and there, he’s been dead for decades but I love his style. He’s the kind of poet that writes “I do this,” “I do that,” kind of poetry. It’s very down to earth. He had quite a following in New York City and he died when he was hit by a dune buggy. I never got a chance to know the guy … but I honor Frank. Do you ever get writer’s block? It takes a lot out of me to write sometimes. I need a couple days to recuperate. Writing is not an easy thing to do, as you may know. But I would rather do that than anything else in the world. Where is your favorite place to read poetry? It’s closed now, but The Iberian Rooster. Although it’s no Iberian Rooster, meet McCabe and work with him at the poet’s first official introduction workshop at the Gulfport Public Library on Apr. 6. He’s teaching “black out poetry,” a form of writing using selected words from news print. Black Out Poetry Workshop with Rob McCabe Apr. 6, 7 p.m. Gulfport Public Library, 5501 28th Ave. S. Talking Heads

For Lesley, Ventriloquism and Puppets Go Hand in Hand By Abby Baker

LESLEY SMITH

When Lesley Smith made the recent move from New Hampshire to Gulfport, her three alter egos made the trip with her. Smith is a comedian and ventriloquist who shares a stage with a gaggle of pseudo-talking puppets. She’s mainly performed in New England, but performed her first full blown Florida show on Saturday, March 12 at the Catherine Hickman Theater. “My work is intentional; it’s made to open hearts and minds,” Smith said. Yet her first steps into the ventriloquism world happened by accident. Before the birth of her children, she performed as a vocalist. “I started a different chapter in my life and that meant I couldn’t be out playing till 3 a.m.,” Smith said. The next chapter brought her to work at a children’s museum in New England. Always a performer, Smith “A puppet can say something that people sometimes can’t get away with,” Smith said. used puppets to connect to young visitors and fell in love with the art ly part of the TV show pilot, “SamHer full-time days as a vocalist form. my’s New World”. may be behind her, but Smith still She began traveling to northern Smith’s clingy cast includes Shirsings and performs songs through schools to perley the Texas Diva, her puppet appendages in between Smith’s clingy cast in- Sammy the Snail, form educational speaking routines. plays centering on cludes Shirley the Texas and Tony Rocko. food Get Dirté at Mullet’s Fish Camp Come for the Fish, Stay for the Wings If not for the sign depicting the merman with his glorious shock of brown curls and his multicolored tail, one would simply drive right past the hidden oasis that is Mullet’s Fish Camp. Located on 4th Street South, directly across from the iconic Munch’s Diner, the stately old Florida house is now home to a new local restaurant. Featuring a full-liquor bar, outdoor, patio, and indoor dining, Mullet’s makes use of its generous space. The tables are a friendly distance apart, allowing you to get to share a few quibbles or jokes with those dining next to you. The hand-crafted cocktails stand well on their own, and have catchy names which those familiar with the jam band scene will appreciate. The beer list is ample, and the bartenders personable. Focusing on fresh catch and locally sourced menu items, Mullet’s thrives on excellently prepared seafood, accompanied with house made sauces and delectable slaw. They consistently offer 15 different types of fish and seafood, such as Gulf snapper, cod, and grouper. They

The house-made blue cheese is a delight and will impress even the most persnickety gourmet. Mullet’s Fish Camp is a grand addition to an area of St. Pete primarily known for long-standing restaurants – The Chattaway and aforementioned Munch’s are only two examples. There is no doubt that in time, Mullet’s will add its name to the list of local Florida classics. Mullet’s Fish Camp, 3901 6th St. S., St. Pete.
