Have a Christ-centred Christmas Christians have more reason than anyone to celebrate at Christmas because we understand the wonder of the gift that was given in the Lord Jesus. The one who was to live and die and rise to save us from our sins and bring us to God (1 Peter 3:18). And it’s that wonderful message that we want to get across to our family, friends and neighbours at a time of year when they might be most receptive to listening.

celebrating (p4-5). To others, you might enclose Christmas Uncut (p6) or a short tract that explains the significance of the baby in the manger for our lives today (p6). And when it comes to gifts, we’ve got something to help everyone, whatever their age or stage, to appreciate the best gift of all. For parents with preschoolers, Bake through the Bible is an exciting new title that combines a Bible Overview with 20 mouth-watering recipes! (See p22.) For teenagers, Hero is a brilliant book to help them see how God can turn the most ordinary of people into the unlikeliest of heroes (see p29). And for adults, there is a huge selection of exciting new titles that will help recipients grow in their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, whose birthday we are celebrating (see p1221). Our hope and prayer is that these Bible-centred resources will play some small part in helping you and those you love have a wonderfully Christcentred Christmas.

Lost in the Middle

Paul David Tripp, £10.99 £8.79

Paul David Tripp, £9.99 £8.99

Christians living in a secular society face struggles daily to keep their faith. In this honest and refreshing take on the doubts we all experience, Martin Ayers looks at what the Bible says about faith and doubt and offers lots of practical suggestions for putting what we learn into practice.

In exploring how God’s grace frees us from pursuing the hollow promises of this world, Paul Tripp directs readers to the wisdom of God in Scripture and the liberating power of the gospel, offering practical guidance on finding true joy and lasting satisfaction.

The Bible never discusses midlife, just as it never discusses teenagers. Yet the Bible is able to address any of life’s experiences because it was written by the one who made them all. You will face things in midlife that beat at the borders of your faith, but you do not have to be lost in the middle of your story.

Life’s Big Questions

Vaughan Roberts, £5.99 £4.79

Vaughan Roberts, £8.99 £7.19

Vaughan Roberts, £6.99 £5.59

Vaughan Roberts encourages readers to look at the first chapters of the Bible to understand the plan that God had in mind for humanity right from the start. He examines how God intended us to live in his creation and gives clear indications of how we can do so in the world today, even through the pain and destruction around us. He covers the issues that affect us all: our identity, the earth, sex, marriage and work.

In his excellent overview, Vaughan Roberts gives the big picture – showing how the different parts of the Bible fit together under the theme of the kingdom of God. He gives us both the encouragement and the tools to read the Bible with confidence and understanding. He points us to the Bible’s supreme subject, Jesus Christ, and the salvation God offers through him.

How can the 66 books of the Bible have a single message for us today? Vaughan Roberts believes that the Bible tells a single story for all time. He draws out the Bible’s message of Jesus Christ, and God’s redemption through him, in six big questions.
