WELCOME TO THE 2019/20 SEASON These are exciting times at The Grand! The 2018/19 Season has certainly been a memorable one, with a record-setting 27 sellouts, repeat recognition as one of Pollstar’s Top 150 Theatres in the World, performances from incredible artists across genres, and a seemingly endless supply of snow in the month of February! We’re just as excited about our 2019/20 Season, which brings 28 world-class performances to the stage. We are thrilled to welcome six incredible Broadway shows to The Grand, including the Wausau debuts of mega-hits RENT, Cirque Dreams Holidaze, Bandstand, Waitress, and Beautiful, as well as the return of Jersey Boys. Beyond Broadway, there is something for everyone: iconic musicians Kenny G, Art Garfunkel, Ronnie Milsap, and Eddie Money, comedy from Brian Regan and Colin Mochrie, a trio of outstanding holiday shows, great family shows, the return of worldclass symphony, and so much more! In 1996, an original rock musical by a little-known composer opened on Broadway...and forever changed the landscape of American theatre. Starring Whose Line Is It Anyway?’s Colin Mochrie and hypnotist Asad Mecci, hypnosis and improv come together as two masters of their crafts unite for a totally unique comedy experience, HYPROV: Improv Under Hypnosis. Twenty audience volunteers are put under hypnosis by Asad Mecci, and then methodically (and hysterically) whittled down until the five best contestants are left onstage, when co-creator Colin Mochrie enters to improvise with them while they are still under hypnosis! In the hands of two masters, and solely created from the audience’s uninhibited subconscious, this show is sure to be a hysterical and completely unforgettable experience.

For the first time in a decade, a world-renowned symphony comes to The Grand! Direct from Krasnoyarsk, Russia, the Siberian State Symphony Orchestra makes its Wausau debut this March.
