WELCOME BACK!
A year ago, it could be overwhelming at times thinking about all the incredible challenges our industry was facing amid the pandemic. As we “pivoted” time and again, developing new ways to continue to live our mission, it became clear to me that we would get through it if we focused primarily on two things: preserving our organization and serving our community. For the last year, a piece of paper with those two objectives has been taped to my laptop, so I see it every day and remind myself of the two things we need to focus on as an organization. I’m proud to say that because of our amazing team and your support, I feel as though we’ve done both successfully over the last year. All of you have certainly helped us meet the first objective—over 1,000 of you have donated to our Ghost Light Fund, allowing us to keep the organization and our historic theater up and running. We absolutely cannot thank you enough, as again you’ve shown your incredible dedication to and support for The Grand. We’ve worked hard to meet, and I believe exceed, the second objective, providing over 80 programs in various formats, reaching an incredible 70,000 patrons across 25 states! Some of these programs have been so successful that we’ll continue them moving forward and we hope that you will continue to enjoy them. As proud as I am of the work we’ve done over the last year, nothing compares with sharing live experiences together at The Grand. As we unveil this 21/22 season, our intention is that we will deliver all these performances as scheduled, but we will certainly be adaptable and focused on the well-being of all of you, along with our staff, volunteers, and artists. Our COVID-19 Ticket Guarantee (which you can read more about on the next page) will provide you unprecedented flexibility with your tickets, so that you can purchase tickets with peace of mind. We are so excited to share this season with all of you—we have amazing Broadway hits like Waitress, Beautiful, Fiddler on the Roof and more, plus international blockbusters Riverdance and Blue Man Group, as well as great music, dance, comedy, family fun and so much more! I’ve always closed this message by saying the same thing—we are grateful for your support and we look forward to seeing you at The Grand—and this year, that is truer than ever. Instead, I will say that we are humbled and grateful for your incredible support over the past year and we absolutely can’t wait to see you back at The Grand! Sean Wright Executive Director
The Grand is proud to be a place that sparks creativity in our community. Your support will help continue this tradition for generations to come. All donations, no matter the size, are appreciated. Thank you!

ARTS IN EDUCATION SERIES Each year, The Grand welcomes thousands of area students to the theater for Aspirus Arts In Education Series school performances. We’ve missed having students in our historic space, and we can’t wait to have them back next school year! Over the past year, The Grand has offered access to six virtual educational performances, at no cost to schools or families. Over 745 teachers and parents have accessed these programs, sharing the power of the performing arts with tens of thousands students from Central Wisconsin and beyond. We are excited to continue to offer these virtual programs in the Fall of 2021, and even more thrilled to welcome students back to the theater in person in early 2022. Keep an eye out for our announcement of virtual and in-person Arts In Education Series performances later this summer!
The Central Wisconsin Jerry Ensemble
has been hard at work this year, rehearsing and performing virtually. They created a new virtual performance series, “The Best of Broadway, Presented by the Central Wisconsin Jerry Ensemble,” filmed live on the stage of the historic Grand Theater, in which members of the Ensemble walk audiences through America’s rich musical theater history. Episodes have showcased everything from The Golden Age of Musical Theater to Broadway Firsts! To enjoy the Jerry Ensemble’s virtual performance, visit YouTube.com/TheGrandTheaterWausau
