outdoor juried sculpture show. This year, nearly two-thousand artists will show a variety of artistic styles and works in glass, wood, stone, bronze, metal, ceramic, and mixed media. The Group has been involved with the event for many years: the company is a major sponsor and many Partners and staff volunteer at the artists’ reception as well as in the festival tent. “If people are buying, realtors can help with the transactions,” Gray says.

Bohemian Nights at NewWestFest

August 12 - 14, 2016, Fort Collins, Colorado Each August, Fort Collins brims with song and cheer as residents and out-of-towners gather in Old Town for Bohemian Nights at NewWestFest. The free community music festival is held in collaboration with the Downtown Fort Collins Business Association (DBA) and features bands from a variety of genres. In addition to the live entertainment, over 250 art, specialty and food booths showcase a different type of creativity. The Group, a DBA sponsor since 2012, usually has a tent and visible presence at all of the organization’s events, including NewWestFest. “It gives visibility to the company of course, but it’s [also] a good way to interact with the community. Employees work the tent, e’re there to have fun with the people,” says Gray. This year, The Group will host a wine and relaxation lounge alongside Wilbur’s Total Beverage. August 19 & 20, 2016, Loveland, Colorado For the first time, The Group, Inc. will be an official sponsor for Loveland’s annual Old Fashioned Corn Roast Festival. The free event — Loveland’s oldest community festival — is held Downtown and features a parade, vendors, live music and all varieties of corn-related entertainment. In the past, Group Partners and staff have volunteered at the agricultural bash, but this year their participation will be more visible. The Group has two teams in the corn shucking contest and hopes to have ”about thirty people riding Group cruiser bikes in the parade,” says Gray. And with a booth in the vendor section, company representatives will be around to answer questions and just chat with community members throughout the day. Celebrating summer at these festivals is a great way for The Group to up its visibility. But, like much of what the company does, it’s also about encouraging Partners and staff to engage with the place they call home. “These festivals celebrate the season and the things that all of us love about our communities,” says Gray.
