Homevalue helps Peter McVerry Trust refresh their Residential Community Detox Centre.
MEDITE MDF: WHERE INNOVATION MEETS SUSTAINABILITY
Homevalue have recently delivered a range of materials and supplies to Peter McVerry Trust (PMTL), including new three-seater benches, dining sets, picnic benches, BBQs, and more, to help support the charity in the development and maintenance of their on-site Residential Community Detox Centre in North County Dublin. The delivery of equipment and materials will help support Peter McVerry Trust to upgrade and care for their Detox Centre throughout the year. It is one of the oldest services at Peter McVerry Trust and ensures access for participants to a key space for the organisation. The donation will help to support Peter McVerry Trust participants in what can be a difficult journey while in recovery and treatment and help create positive memories to carry with them as they start their new chapter upon completion of their treatment. Earlier this year, Homevalue announced Peter McVerry Trust as their charity partner for 2022 which will see them support the national housing and homeless charity with a range of initiatives throughout the year including support for PMVT Learning Centre’s Junior Certificate students, and with the supply of equipment and materials in the development of new housing units. As the drive towards net zero becomes more urgent, calls to use more timber are increasing. At a time when the industry is hit with a wave of material shortages and rising prices, manufacturers and fabricators need to make careful considerations over the materials they use while still delivering the best designs. Part of the Coillte Group, MEDITE SMARTPLY has continuously developed innovative, versatile and sustainable products, which are suitable for bespoke creations, and showcase the company’s ethos; from its sustainably managed forests through to its commitment to creating products that contribute to healthier buildings. Specialisations include MEDITE TRICOYA EXTREME, a groundbreaking construction material guaranteed for 50 years above ground and 25 years below ground, MEDITE PREMIER FR, the MDF with built in flame retardance, and MEDITE CLEAR, a MDF panel manufactured with zero added formaldehyde developed specifically for use in environmentally sensitive interior applications such as museums. The range now includes MEDITE OPTIMA – a specially engineered, higher density moisture resistant MDF panel with superior finishing properties.
