Prior to joining The Heather DeFord Group, David has spent more than 5 years working in various marketing capacities with both Golden Gate Sotheby’s International Realty in the San Francisco Bay Area and Cascade Sotheby’s International Realty here in SW Washington and Oregon. Prior to his time with the Sotheby’s International Realty brand David worked as a Communications Manager at equity and debt based crowdfunding startup. Originally from the Bay Area, David, his wife Lindsey, and their two Labradors are happy to call Camas home. In his free time David likes to spend his time outdoors, whether that’s visiting the coast, hiking in the Gorge, or going for a long run.

A professional videographer will create a high definition video tour to be incorporated into our online listings, social media and other marketing materials.

The high-resolution images and high definition video we require will be incorporated into a custom listing we create just for your property at www.sothebysrealty.com. In addition to the Bloomberg and Wall Street Journal Real Estate sections online (see additional publication examples attached), your property will be syndicated to a vast array of other websites. This is significant because the Sotheby’s online platform is unmatched by any other local real estate company. Utilizing the Sotheby’s platform, we are able to use rich, descriptive, magazine-quality content that will be syndicated worldwide. Other real estate companies rely on the RMLS to syndicate for them, producing far inferior online presentations.

Because the RMLS is the central database and marketplace for real estate agents in Portland and Vancouver, we will create a second, robust listing there with as much additional information as possible, such as the high definition video tour, “Features and Amenities” list, floor plan diagrams (if available) and key disclosure information, etc.

The NWMLS Database gives another avenue to market with thousands of local brokers and real estate agents who can view the listing we create for your property. This database helps us reach the Seattle Market as well as other Washington locations.




Prior to going live on the market, a branded “sneak preview” of your listing will be emailed to more than 8,500 licensed agents across the entire Portland Metro Area as well as all Vancouver agents. Print Advertising: Your home will be showcased in appropriate print publications to reach buyers in what we determine to be the market for your home. Please refer to the Marketing Plan to discuss individualized opportunities.

We will install quality hanging signs outside of your property. Custom high-quality brochures will be created for buyer marketing. These brochures are also distributed to all 16 Cascade Sotheby’s International Realty offices covering all of Oregon and SW Washington. We also distribute the printed brochures to other area luxury agents and market areas with a predominance of buyer activity looking to relocate to Portland/SW Washington.

All showings are to go through the listing agent only. It is essential for your home to be presented in the very best light. We will assure that all lights are on and the home is show-ready prior to buyer arrival. Once the showing is complete we return the home to a lights-off and property-secured state. No codes will ever be given to buyers.

We will be directly involved in evaluating and negotiating all offers received and presented to you. All monies will be vetted to the highest extent possible.


Home consultations are great for clients who need advice on preparing their homes for the market. We come out to your home, take photos, and send over a list of things to rearrange, de-clutter, clean, repaint, etc. In many cases, several rooms can be staged with a combination of your furnishings and Heather’s furnishings – at no cost to you! For houses that are vacant while on the market, we can set up the provision for all the furnishings necessary to showcase the unique features of the home. We will provide a Home Staging Estimate at no cost upon an in-person walk-thru of the home. All homes are unique, pricing varies depending on location, size, and the number of rooms staged. In the event that a contractor needs to come out to the home for any reason, that will be scheduled upon the completion of the consultation.

I have had the privilege of working with Heather DeFord on three separate real estate transactions in the last two years. In 2019 I chose her as my agent for selling what had been our family post-retirement home, and Heather’s and my professional and personal relationship grew from that point.
