Overview
Store producers can be located anywhere in the country and all batch numbers will be considered.
Meadow Quality markets a significant number of finished Hereford cattle a year to a premium outlet.
The prices for the finished cattle in this market are at a premium above the weekly average and are more stable. This is reflected in the prices paid for store cattle and helps with future business planning.
As a registered store producer you have: • Access to on-farm advice on how to maximise the value and potential of your stock • A large base of Hereford finishers whose demand for store cattle is increasing • Buyers across the country, reducing transport costs at sale • Calves and young stock can be sourced by Meadow Quality for growing on if needed • Access to independent nutritional advice • Sire tracing service to ensure provenance of breed • Herd health plans provided by experienced veterinary consultants • Reduced rates on milk replacer as part of the group
What can Meadow Quality do for you?
What do Meadow Quality expect from you?
The finishers have a tight specification to meet and therefore need a secure supply of quality store cattle. By becoming a registered store producer you can ensure that your production systems closely match the needs of the finisher and thus develop a secure and sustainable market for your cattle.
Being a registered Meadow Quality store cattle producer offers you many benefits. Due to increased demand, we are currently looking to expand our base of store producers, with a focus on the Hereford breed. Suckler and dairy bred cattle are both suitable, so long as producing a quality animal is your focus.
