Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Adam Asher, and I’m host and creator at The Edge of Adventure. It’s an honor to serve The Hotel Guide as a contributing writer. I am certainly in great company here, and the opportunity to share these moments with you is something I look forward to as each new edition of the magazine is published. I value and appreciate your time. I extend my gratitude to you and to the Publisher, Edward Leos.

Inspiring...

The Edge of Adventure exists to bring honor to inspiring humanitarian organizations, highlighting their efforts worldwide to care for those in genuine need. We make films and podcasts that feature their work. We even have a mobile app and community called Rugged Compass that I invite you to download and join. Through it all and with everything we do, our aim is to share true stories of tremendous hope. And we do so at a time in history when hope is desperately needed. We do so because we believe that the work being done by these humanitarian organizations is worthy of recognition. It matters. Their acts of kindness and service are worthy of respect. Day in and day out, people around the globe are giving of their time, energy and resources. They do this because they have chosen to live for something bigger than themselves. They have chosen to dedicate their lives to serving others. The truth about the difference they are making is such good news, and we need to hear it. Because we need to get involved—for two reasons.

Givng Back

First, our own gifts of time, money and knowhow are vital to the work they do. When we get involved, when we help and encourage and give, it equips these organizations to do even more. It keeps them going. It shows them that we recognize the value of what they do and that we’re with them. It says they’re not alone.

Second, when we choose to partner with them, to help them accomplish their different missions in the world, something amazing happens … to us. When we make that simple decision to give somehow and to do so sacrificially, the biggest change that occurs is in us. We need to hear these amazing stories of good news because we too are in need. We’re in need of perspective. You’ll find our brand new documentary film on a variety of great streaming platforms around the world, including Amazon Prime Video, Plex, and many others. We’ll even be on Tubi in the coming weeks. You’ll find the podcast on top-notch platforms like Apple, Google and Spotify. Details and links for all these can be found at TheEdgeOfAdventure.com.

I invite you to watch and listen. As you do, I know you’ll find these stories inspiring. I think they’ll brighten your day. I think they’ll renew your hope. But if I could ask one thing: Don’t let it stop there. Give some thought to how you could get involved in some way somewhere. They need it. And so do you.
