CAFÉ AROMA NEWS: October was a busy month: Café Aroma hosted Level 1 Food Safe course on October 3, with instructor Gaetane Palardy a professional food consultant from Comox. All fourteen local students passed the course with excellent grades. On October 20th, Café Aroma catered a group of 35 teachers from Port Alberni at the Children’s Center. Some of the Café’s favorite dishes were presented with positive reviews. Thanks to Alexandra, who spearheaded the event with Tami’s assistance and Yasmin’s icing of the cake. November hours will change to 07:30 – 16:00 hours, coinciding with the changing of the clocks on November 4. By November 10, we will have our Angel Tree in place with Pink & Blue angels; please support our ‘Christmas Gift for Children,’ by taking an Angel and replacing it with a gift (with the Angel affixed) under the tree. These gifts will be taken to the Food bank for distribution by December 10th. From the great staff of Café Aroma. STRANDED HAIR DESIGN – Brandi will be away on vacation from November 10 to 24. To be askable means that young people see you as approachable and open to questions. Being askable about sexuality is something that most parents and caregivers want but that many find very difficult.
