March 4, 2009 Dear Friends, On Monday, May 18th the International Medical Health Organization (IMHO) is hosting a golf tournament at the renowned Jack Nicklaus championship golf course (www.nacc.com) in New Albany, Ohio. Please join us for an exciting 18‐hole scramble and support the philanthropic work of IMHO. The funds raised from this event will go towards supporting the ongoing emergency relief effort in Sri Lanka, as IMHO continues to respond to the humanitarian crisis in the northeast of the island. IMHO is providing basic nutrition, medicines, mobile medical care, and other needed equipment to the many internally displaced persons (IDPs) currently caught within the conflict zones. IMHO is an international humanitarian organization that focuses on developing and improving health care in underserved regions of the world. IMHO aims to improve health care across the globe by focusing on one community at a time. Currently, IMHO is focused on Sri Lanka and India, where we work intensively to develop health care infrastructure and resources. Kick the day off with a free golf clinic starting at 11:00am, especially for those who are not frequent players. We will also have representatives from Callaway, one of the leading brands in golf, on‐hand to hold a “Demo Day” with some of the newest, state‐of‐the‐art golf equipment. Come learn about these new products and test them out for yourself. The tournament will start at 12:30pm with a shotgun start. Players will compete in teams of 4. You may either sign up individually ($300/person), in which case we will place you with 3 other players, or as a full team ($1000/team of 4). While on the course we will provide all players with lunch and beverages (both alcoholic and non‐alcoholic). Immediately following the golf, we will be holding a dinner reception at the clubhouse. We will have an open bar for wine, beer, and a few other selected drinks. There will also be a silent auction, presentation of awards to the day’s top teams, and a presentation about IMHO and the work we do to address health and medical needs worldwide.
