Maria Marinou is a Greek fine artist based in Sheffield, UK. She is a graduate of the Athens School of Fine arts (BFA/MFA Hons), and the University of Sheffield, Department of Archaeology (MA Hons). She has participated in many exhibitions in Greece and the UK, and has produced archaeological illustrations for the American School of Classical Studies at Athens, amongst various publications.
Her artwork fluctuates between figurative and more abstract representations, whilst exploring themes such as portraiture and figurative painting, as well as artistic materiality and colour.
