I am passionate about keeping my students’ learning experiences real and of direct use in their current and future lives. I can be too passionate for my own good and don’t suffer fools well J Title of your project? – Adding New Words and Rules to Facilitate Entrepreneurship Education. 100-‐150 word summary of your change project? – A key challenge for advocates of entrepreneurship education that is centred on experiential and self-‐motivated learning is gaining legitimacy for our teaching methods. This projects aims to develop global supporters of an alternative learning framework that complements both pedagogy and andragogy, that being heutagogy. The project has its roots in Australia and the UK and needs to gain legitimacy in the USA and Canada to gain momentum. The process planned is one of educating other educators (in all disciplines) to better understand the changing nature of their learners and the importance of enrolling the students’ hearts in the learning process. At the heart of this project is the development of a new language for entrepreneurship educators, as well as clearly identifying the roles of all participants. Brief background about your change project? – So far, a series of presentations and papers has laid the groundwork for this project. During the past 18 months I have presented the idea of heutagogical learning at a United Nations conference of fostering entrepreneurial education. I have also presented these ideas to the Finnish

Parliament during a session of developing 21st century learning skills. Three colleagues and I have written papers on the essence of the idea, and I have presented the ideas at several international education conferences. At every step of the way there has been nothing but positive feedback on the need to further develop heutagogical learning in conjunction with enterprising graduates. I envisage an opportunity to use social media to develop awareness/acceptance/adoption of a general approach to explaining and understanding the value/process of heutagogical learning in our students’ lives. Much the same process through which lean start-‐ups have become known and adopted. Your central question as it stands today? – How best to organise the collaboration of recognised proponents of experiential education in entrepreneurship education to bring about the legitimacy/adoption to the heutagogical approach? An answer to the question "So what?" – Everywhere I go to discuss I find the same issue. Entrepreneurship educators struggle to gain legitimacy of their experiential learning approaches. They collectively seem unable to win the pedagogical war, forever remaining a minority in a world ruled by pedagogical language. We can change this once and for all. Anything else you want us to know? – In Africa, there is a saying, if you want to go somewhere fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together. My work has taken me to the UK, and I have been able to develop many networks there. I want to be able to bring a more global balance to my work in this area. Especially at a time when Australian universities, mine included, at being accredited by AACSB.
