THE ESSENCE OF HER LIFE
EVANGELIST BLONDINE BARNETT , affectionately known as Sister B, was a beacon of light and love, whose legacy will continue to shine bright in the hearts of all who knew her. Born on May 13, 1941, in Atlanta, GA, Sister B was called to her heavenly home on November 25, 2023, in the very city that cradled her inspiring journey. Sister B was a cherished daughter of the late James Mobley and Evangelist Mary Williams, and the loving sister of the late Willie James O'Neal. Her life was further enriched by her marriage to the late Apostle J.T. Barnett, with whom she shared a profound partnership in life and ministry. She was a devoted mother to her daughters, Ramona Scott (Bruce Burkes), Tara Barnett, and Shumeki Barnett. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Quiana Monroe (Karl), Jeronda Scott, Ramontae Scott (Qui), and Javen Hill, along with her eight great-grandchildren. She also held a special place in her heart for her 'son in the spirit', Minister Karl Monroe, special caregiver and niece, Anita Smith, and leaves behind a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who were touched by her warmth and grace. Sister B's life was a testament to her unwavering faith and boundless love. She walked through life with grace and strength, leaving an indelible mark on her beloved community. Her journey began as a daughter of Atlanta, where she attended Washington High School and Walker Elementary School. She blossomed into a remarkable woman, whose passion for her faith and family became the cornerstone of her existence. Evangelist Blondine Barnett was the cherished First Lady of Central Holiness Church, where her presence was a source of comfort and guidance. She served on many ministries and was the visionary behind numerous church initiatives that continue to thrive. Her commitment to service was a reflection of her loving heart, as she founded ministries that have become pillars of spiritual support for countless individuals. Sister B's dedication to helping others was unwavering, and her selfless nature was evident in the way she engaged with her community, always seeking to uplift and empower. Her interests were as diverse as they were passionate. Traveling with her husband brought her immense joy, as did her love for cooking and singing. Sister B's creative spirit shined through in her talent for writing plays, and she left a lasting musical legacy by performing on the album "I Got A Mind to do Right" which she created with her husband. Her rendition of "Stand By Me" was not only her favorite song on the album but also an anthem that encapsulated her life's philosophy. As we celebrate the life of Evangelist Blondine Barnett, let us remember the lessons she imparted through her actions. Let us walk in faith as she did, love without limits, and serve with a selfless heart. Her journey on this earth may have concluded, but her spirit soars high, inspiring us to live a life of purpose, passion, and unwavering faith. Sister B's story does not end here; it is etched in the lives she touched, the ministries she built, and the love she shared. Her legacy is a challenge to each of us to be a light in the darkness, to be a vessel of hope, and to carry on the work that she so lovingly began. As we bid farewell to Evangelist Blondine Barnett, let us do so with the assurance that her life was a well-lived sermon of love, and her memory will forever be a guiding star for all who seek to live a life of meaning.
