MEET THE CUO
What responsibilities does your rank entail?
My role as the adjutant is to command the Corps whilst fostering a good community of boys within the Corps
What was your favourite experience at training parades?
My favourite cadet experience at training parade is Passing Out Parade practice. I liked the sense of camaraderie, and I think it's important that the boys work within an environment where they can create lasting bonds and work hard.
What was your favourite experience at AFX?
Lachlan started Corps in 2019 as a 1st year cadet. He partook in the JLC in 2020 and was promoted to Colour Corporal and would obtain Sergeant in the 2021 SLC. Most recently in the 2022 CWC, Lachlan was promoted to CUO, posted as the Adjutant.
I think my favourite experience at the cadet Corps camp would have to be the confidence course Purely based on the fact that it's a team based exercise and the activity strengthens bonds and friendships within a platoon `
What advice would you give future cadets?
Enjoy every moment of corps, even if it's in an activity that you may not necessarily enjoy in comparison to other activities I think it's essential that every moment is appreciated because a lot of other schools don't necessarily get this opportunity that we do.

MESSAGE FROM MAJ NOWLAND
PADRE'S WEEKLY BIBLE VERSE
Be completely humble and gentle patient, and bearing with one another in love.
Ephesians 4:2
"Do
2022/23."
This extract from Ephesians reminds us that as leaders and followers, Cadets should endorse humility, gentleness and patience with each other as we commence training for the year and begin to work with new Cadets who are familiarising themselves with Corps activities.
Supporting each other and consequently raising the standard of the unit will not only boost espirit de corps, but will strengthen the Corps as a whole, as we maintain unity.
your best, look after your mates, and have a good time. But today in particular, take care of yourself and welcome to cadets for

FOOD SECURITY
PL COMD: CUO DANIEL MA
What is Food Security’s role in TKSCC?
Mainly engaging in culinary initiatives and teaching less experienced first year cadets about the food they will prepare at the annual AFX, Food Security Platoon secures itself as essential to the development of cadets in their personal life skills, which carry beyond corps and into their future lives
What does Food Security do?
The Food Security Platoon runs cooking initiatives every training parade and during AFX, providing a much loved hot meal to visiting cadets
MEDIA & DESIGN INITIATIVE
This year's Media & Design initiative involves logo making where 1st year cadets are put into groups to design a logo for their platoon to be put on the company shirts organised by the Padre.
The initiative teaches cadets the skill of iconography and what makes a good and bad logo.
Today, the cadets thoroughly enjoyed this activity as it gave them a chance to bond with their platoon and exercise their teamwork and creativity.
Being a Food Security Cadet is a highly contended role in the TKSCC, as being able to cook (and eat) every training parade is a great incentive for boys
Why should you join Food Security?
