IIn the golden era, the longing for a better lifestyle has been the prime agenda for multi-cultural societies. In the eyes of communities, the potential for a better quality of distinct personality is interdependent upon the quality of resources in consumption.

The resources are available to augment this generation are based on values, norms, and ethics. While considering an individual’s values, their conscience desires the quality of guidance to improve their status when aspiring for a higher platform in the upcoming trends worldwide, a very common and generic question arises,

'Why is it essential to aim for higher aspirations for better opportunities in global diversity?'

Well! The answer is simple- 'For generational evolution in the contemporary global hierarchy.'

And evolution is a very eminent step for change in the industry, the companies across the world are relying on engineers who are setting the pace for evolutionary trends in the industry. Whereas the quality engineering institutes are helping the industries to keep to that pace of innovation.

Dr. A Garg's foresightedness and the attitude to go beyond the 'TRADITIONAL' have always helped KIET boost its outreach and development. As an academic leader, his focus has always been to create experienced engineers duly aligned with the needs of Industry 4.0. It is the result of his clear vision that the Institute could lead change and earn laurels of success in the name of the KIET Group of Institutions.

The Future Prospects

The main priority of the esteemed college is to prepare well-mannered and learning students who excel not just in academics but also in extracurricular activities. The day they will face the real world, they won't hesitate or push themselves back, be it any sort of challenge.

The college also strives to provide quality education for all the latest courses approved by the university. It's been almost a year since the college

introduced two new branches in the CSE programme – CSE Artificial Intelligence and CSE Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning.

The Distinctive Honours

The Institute does not run on the traditional methodology of producing blank-headed bookworms. It rather wants the young KIETians to explore the world from a realistic point of view without demeaning the value of academics. Hence, to create a balance between theoretical and practical knowledge, the Institute has onboarded PhD scholars with relevant industry experience as faculty members. As mentors, they help the students learn and explore academic topics from both subjective and realistic perspectives. Also, they incorporated the latest and innovative teaching methodology to make teaching-learning interesting and student-oriented. The use of ICT-based teaching, including the usage of easily portable tablets by their faculty members, along with wi-fi internet facility at the campus, facilitate the faculty members as well as students to access maximum online resources for research activities.

The Universal Effect

A peaceful and joyful mind is the best when it comes to productivity. This is why the Institute has always promoted the idea of creating student clubs, which is the primary source of recognizing the hidden talent of its students. Be it dancing, singing, dramatics, robotics, quizzes, poetry, or working for a social cause, the Institute is involved in a range of extracurricular and co-curricular activities that make its students different from others.

"Initially, it was not a smooth-sailing task to encourage students to stop

hesitating and create a student club in a full-fledged manner. But, as the Institute was clear about the fact that they wanted to nurture the students as lions, they started taking sessions on how these activities would help them create a confident personality in the future," Dr. Garg said, highlighting the balance of curricular and extra-curricular activities at the Institute.

"The Institute gave them complete rights to request the Institute for any support/help that is essential for representing KIET on inter or intra level. Today, the Institute does not need to encourage students anymore. They plan and coordinate the entire events themselves, and the faculty is there just for mental support and guidance," Dr. Garg further adds.

The Multi-Industrial Engagement

The Institute has set up numerous labs

through tie-ups such as D-link, AppleiOS University Program, e-Yantra embedded systems, Paramsavaksupercomputing facility, and Robotics Lab to assist them in preparing industry-ready professionals. Apart from industry connections, they have established cloud computing and online learning (e-Learning), which allows for easier sharing of data between peers as well as students and teachers.

Importance Education

Every human being has a

fundamental need for education. It began to exist along with the human species and will continue for as long as humans exist. It is what gives us knowledge. A vital human virtue is education. Education helps a man develop into a 'man.' Without education, man is an excellent enslaved person with savage logic, as has been observed with some justification. The social side of man is brought into sharper emphasis by education.

of

The pursuit of education denotes man's prominent status in society. The requirement of the hour is fundamental technology. It is crucial to keep up with the pace of technological innovation in today's environment. As has already been observed, the human species has made a slow but sure step towards development with invention and the emergence of a new technological pioneer.

The technological revolution has brought the 'impossible' within our grasp and made it 'possible' by encompassing all of the potential spheres of human existence.

Future

The only real explanation for our comfort and luxury about which we take such pride is technical.

Without further ado, let's dive right in and learn more!

Creative Aspect

Since the beginning of time, engineers have made enormous advancements and discoveries. Engineering might be a fantastic choice for anyone who wants to make an impact because it incorporates concepts and reasoning. Engineers must develop a fundamental understanding of their professional responsibilities.

An engineer should be interested and have the desire to learn new things. You won't be very interested in the experiments if you only study science for grades. There are so many uses for the formulas and concepts that it is unlikely you would want to pursue a career in them.

Engineers need to have a solid awareness of their duties as professionals. One of the rare fields where creativity and engineering coexist is engineering. Its appeal can be attributed to its originality and creativity. Between 2010 and 2020, engineering geologists can anticipate a 21 per cent increase in employment, according to the Bureau of Labour Statistics.

Designer at Mind

The world's architects and constructors are engineers. Engineering is believed to be a style of thinking rather than just a degree. Even if the number of engineers in India has increased recently, there is still a continuing need for qualified engineers. The appeal of

engineering is that it may not only lead to new opportunities in a variety of fields but also to lucrative salaries. For students, there are several employment options available with an engineering degree.

An engineer is a qualified professional who develops engineered systems for the good of humanity. They create designs, products, and services that support socioeconomic and human development in various ways.

Personal Involvement

The most effective technique is each engineer's involvement in incorporating safety, public welfare, professional ethics, legal concerns, environmental obligations, quality, and communications into the problemsolving processes that all utilize regularly.

Design for manufacturing, design for reliability, design for maintainability, design for assembly, design for environment, plan for safety, design for economics, etc., are all included in the concurrent process.

Curve for Innovation

The potential for technical innovation to support brand-new, specific businesses are limitless. Building construction, producing materials for handicrafts, the horticultural sector, and extracting pharmaceuticals and perfumes.

Constructing educational institutions, mini, micro, and macro hydroelectric power plants, computer software and hardware, production of electronic goods and daily food products, development of faster transportation facilities, drainage and sewerage

facilities, solid waste disposal schemes for towns and cities, sanitation projects, and the protection of water bodies are just a few of the engineering tasks that call for expert engineering services.

Knowledge of the Latest Trends

Engineers need more than top-notch technical and scientific abilities to succeed and advance prosperity. They must assist us in making wise choices when allocating large quantities of time, money, and human resources to collective goals in a world that are becoming more competitive. Engineers are experts at both doing things correctly and doing the right thing. They must possess a broad, allencompassing background to do this. Engineering education must be integrative since engineering itself is an integrative activity.

Engineers know that proficiency in science and mathematics is essential for career success. However, the 'functional core of engineering' must also be experienced by engineering students. The thrill of taking up an unending challenge and inventing something new. Education requires taking part in the creation of a new product by fusing seemingly unrelated talents.

To sum up, Engineers are typically thought of as persons who apply scientific discoveries to real-world situations. We must train engineers who are leaders who comprehend the science underlying their proposed solutions and the people, problems, and systems they intend to influence.

Turning Engineers into Magicians

Innovation is a product of several failed experiments and one successful presentation. Innovation takes inspiration from an undefined idea and creates wonders for the world. And stating the importance of these experiments and a person's journey with them, Albert Einstein once said, "No amount of experimentation can prove me right; a single experiment can prove me wrong."

But who are these people who experiment a lot? Noble professions like doctors and scientists will definitely show up. However, there is one name that probably does the greatest number of failed experiments and still has the passion for trying one more time and giving out the final result.

Engineers, you probably must have guessed it right, and the due credit for their tried and tested experiments are often less talked about. As, if shown a man the current cell phones the world is using, it would be a magic trick for him. Putting this into the right words, Elon Musk said, "Engineering is the closest thing to magic that exists in the world."

This is indeed true, connecting the dots looking backwards. And the most prominent engineering colleges across the world are training young minds to become the modern-day magician of their predecessors.

One such institute in India's lush landscapes is the Vellore Institute of Technology, VIT. Today, VIT is one of the finest engineering institutes to study engineering in the country and is aspired by many students worldwide.

In an exchange of words with Dr. G Viswanathan Chancellor , the of VIT shares some insightful intricacies of the adopted pedagogies. Apart from that, he also shares the journey of the institute and maps down the track for the future.
