The City of La Feria will receive sealed bids for the reconstruction of two (2) homes within the City of La Feria, until 11 A.M., November 17, 2017, at La Feria City Hall, 115 E. Commercial Avenue, La Feria, Texas, 78559. The bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 11:00 A.M. at the City Hall at the same address. Bids are invited upon the items and quantities of work as follows: Construction of one (1) home that has 2 plans associated with it due to the restrictive size of the lot. One plan is a two bedroom one story home and the second plan is a 2 story three bedroom home. In the end, only one (1) plan will be selected but please bid on both plans for this home. In addition one (1) home that is a three bedroom house as described in the plans and specs to be built at the maximum one time per each home and proposed plan on separate lots within the City. Bidders are instructed to bid the cost of the house keeping in mind that they may be awarded the construction of all houses. Demolition and disposal of the current houses on these lots may be completed by the City of La Feria but will be added as an alternate bid item in the event the city decided to contract this out, and most City permit fees will be waived to meet match per each house as documented in the City’s agreement with Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs.
