INVITATION TO BIDDERS CAMERON COUNTY IRRIGATION DISTRICT NO. 6 (CCID No. 6) is accepting sealed bid proposals for the Saldaña Directional Drilling Project. SEALED PROPOSALS addressed to Mr. Reynaldo L. Lopez, President, at the District Office, 32343 FM 803, Los Fresnos, TX, 78566, will be received until 3:00 PM, on Tuesday, January 10, 2017, for furnishing all materials, equipment and labor necessary for the Saldaña Directional Drilling Project in accordance with the plans on file at the District Office. At the time stated, bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the District Office. PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS AND CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be examined without charge at the District Office or the Office of Ferris, Flinn & Medina, LLC. Proposal forms may be obtained by calling Ferris, Flinn & Medina, LLC, at (956) 364-2236. Complete plans, specifications and contract documents are available from Ferris, Flinn & Medina, LLC for the nonrefundable reproduction cost of $50.00. An electronic version on CD is available for a nonrefundable cost of $25.00. A CERTIFIED OR CASHIER’S CHECK, or an acceptable bid bond in an amount not less than two (2) percent of the total bid shall accompany each bid as a guaranty that, if awarded the Contract, the bidder will promptly enter into a contract with Cameron County Irrigation District No. 6 and furnish bonds on the forms provided. BIDDERS are expected to inspect the site of the work and to inform themselves of all local conditions. All work shall be completed within sixty (60) calendar days. Cameron County Irrigation District No. 6 reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive any or all informalities, and to award the contract to the bidder or bidders, who, in the opinion of the District offers the proposal in its best interest. The prices submitted for the Saldaña Directional Drilling project will be unit prices and the award will be based on the estimated quantity of 447 linear feet directional drill and installation of Owner supplied 24” DR-18 Fusible C-905 PVC. The award of the project will be based on the bid that is most advantageous to the District. For the construction proposals, the work includes dewatering, labor, equipment and incidental materials, coordination with Owner and installation of Owner supplied (fusible) PVC pipe. This contract will only be awarded to a Contractor that can demonstrate experience completing projects with similar fused PVC pipe size and geotechnical conditions using wire line guidance equipment. BIDDERS are cautioned that conditional or qualified bids, or bids not in the proper form may be rejected.
