How-tos & Tips
We founded The Laundress New York Detergent and Fabric Care collection in 2004 because we were frustrated with dingy white T-shirts, faded denim, and prematurely worn pieces. The laundry products available in the marketplace left us unsatisfied and the only alternative, dry cleaning, left our clothes loaded with chemicals. Knowing our wardrobes were washable, we decided to research and develop our own laundry solutions—literally! With our carefully crafted Laundress products, washing our clothing became a delight, made even more enjoyable with fantastic tools and storage options. However, we faced similar frustrations cleaning our homes and office. Unwilling to use toxic cleaners and fed up with inferior natural cleaning products, we decided it was time to, again, make our own. From dish detergent to window cleaner, our Home collection has proven tough on dirt yet safe for you, your home, and the environment. Today, after more than a decade of “cleaning one person at a time,” we are still just as passionate about the “how-to” as we are about the actual “solutions”. From our laundry room to yours, we are pleased to share our curated products, with our tried and true tips and tricks – for the first time in a single guide. We have all the solutions, literally! From home cleaning to laundry to fabric care, we provide step-by-step answers to even the most intimate subjects and tasks with ease, know-how, and a little bit of fun. Happy laundering...and more!

LAUNDRY TIPS STAIN REMOVAL: Remove old and new stains such as red wine, coffee, and yellowing underarm stains with the Stain Solution—a pretreat solution. Spot treat upholstery, pretreat grease and dirt stains, and hand wash items with the Wash & Stain Bar. PROTECT ITEMS: Protect small, delicate, and embellished items with the Mesh Washing Bag Bundle. Ideal for hosiery, lingerie, sweaters, and more—these bags will prevent clothing from tearing and snagging in the machine. They’re also the perfect solution for keeping your smaller items together. WHITEN: Maintain whiteness and brightness with oxygen bleach by presoaking fabrics or adding it to your laundry detergent. A terrific alternative to chlorine bleach, the All-Purpose Bleach Alternative is safe for all colors and fabrics except silk and wool. LAUNDER: Each Laundress detergent and wash is carefully crafted to work its magic on specific fabric types for optimal care and results. SOFTEN: Eliminate static, prevent wrinkles, ease ironing, and keep clothing soft with this naturally derived softener. Fabric Conditioner is recommended and best used with every other wash. DRY: Line drying helps preserve fibers, colors, shape, and elasticity, while also saving energy! STARCH: Using a natural cornstarch will impart body to fabrics, a higher resistance to soils, and will help to ease ironing. Stiffen Up will leave a perfectly refined finish that will not flake, coat, or damage your fabrics—it smells great, too! FINISH: For the ultimate finish, use Ironing Water while steaming/ironing. To maintain that freshly laundered scent, use Fabric Fresh between wearings. LINT: Remove lint, hair, fuzz, and pills from clothing, bedding, and upholstered furniture with the Clothing and Upholstery Brush. Cohabiting with lovable, furry pets? Use the Pet & Lint Brush to eliminate fur and pet hair. STORAGE: Storing in plastic causes yellowing. Cotton is a must; use the All-Purpose Storage Bag for seasonal or long-term storage--it’s breathable and protects from both moths and moisture. 8.
BEDDING AND BATH STAIN REMOVAL: Pretreat with Stain Solution to remove stubborn stains such as makeup, self-tanners, lotions, and body oils from towels, facecloths, and bedding. Apply solution directly to the area(s) and soak in a hot water bath. For extra stubborn stains, add a sprinkle of All-Purpose Bleach Alternative to make a pretreat paste. DINGINESS, GRAYING, DULL WHITES, AND COLORS: Presoak bath and bedding items with 1 capful of All-Purpose Bleach Alternative and hot water. Launder as normal with the appropriate Laundress detergent. To maintain brightness, add 1 capful of All-Purpose Bleach Alternative to loads going forward. SHOWER CURTAINS/LINERS: Launder to keep in good shape and avoid mold and mildew. Plastic curtain liners do not need to be thrown out if cleaned. Launder in the washing machine on a normal cycle with hot water, All-Purpose Bleach Alternative, and Signature Detergent. Hang to dry. LAUNDERING BEDDING AND BATH: We recommend changing bedding on a biweekly rotation; you may prefer to change pillowcases weekly, especially if you use lots of hair and skin products. Launder bath towels weekly. For bedding and bath towel longevity, it is best to rotate sets. Cotton and linen, bedding, and bath items are best cared for washing with hot water to ensure optimal cleaning. We love white sheets and towels, so adding 1 capful of All-Purpose Bleach Alternative is a necessity with each load. PRESSED AND FRESH LINENS: For perfectly pressed linens, iron while damp and use Stiffen Up to help maintain the refined finish with Crease Release. Freshen bedding with Fabric Fresh Classic in between washings. PILLOW LINERS, SHAMS, AND DUVET COVERS: Wash the pillow liners in a monthly rotation. Duvet covers and shams should follow a washing rotation of 1–3 months, depending on the fabric and lifestyle. (Silk should be washed less often, while pet owners should wash more frequently.) Protect decorative and embellished covers when washing with the Mesh Washing Bag. DOWN AND DOWN ALTERNATIVE: Caring for down and down alternative is quite simple; the common problem is not having a machine large enough! Wash on a large load with warm water and Wool & Cashmere Shampoo. Dry on a low heat/low tumble cycle. Adding clean tennis balls will help redistribute and fluff the feathers and down/filling. An alternative to machine drying is line drying in the brightest sun. Be sure items are thoroughly dry, to prevent mildew from the inside out. BEDDING AND MATTRESS MAINTENANCE: Steaming will help to reduce allergens such as dust and mites; to optimize freshness, add 2 capfuls of Ironing Water to the steamer water tank. For mattresses, duvets/comforters, and pillows, frequently fluff and freshen items with the Wool & Cashmere Spray. Mattresses should be rotated and steamed twice a year. NOTE: When laundering bedding and bath items it is important not to overstuff the washer and/or dryer. Doing so can damage both the machine and item(s) being laundered, and an overfilled dryer may overheat, becoming a fire hazard.

STAIN REMOVAL For optimal stain removal, reference the specific fabric and stain you’re treating to determine the appropriate product, water temperature, and technique to use. STAIN SOLUTION: Formulated to break down stubborn stains such as red wine, sauce, chocolate, grass, coffee/tea, blood, underarm stains, and more. Safe for use on all washable fabrics and colors. • • • •
Apply Stain Solution directly to the stained area(s). Work the solution into the fabric with the Stain Brush. Pour hot water from a height. Allow the item to soak.* If the stain is not completely gone, repeat process until satisfied. • Launder as normal. *For stain removal on silk and wool use tepid water. Do not soak silk longer than 30 minutes. ALL-PURPOSE BLEACH ALTERNATIVE: This nontoxic alternative to chlorine bleach works wonders to safely remove dirt, stains, and odors. Safe for all colors and fabrics except silk and wool. Most effective when used with hot/warm water. • Pretreat stains by mixing with Stain Solution to create a paste. • Presoak dingy whites, dull colors, and odors by adding 1 capful to a wash basin or sink with hot water and soak. • Boost, whiten, and brighten by adding 2 capfuls with detergent to the wash cycle. WASH & STAIN BAR: Let the bar do the work to remove stains such as dirt, grease, oil, makeup and ring around the collar. Safe for use on all washable fabrics and colors. • Spot Treat: Upholstery, Dry Clean Only Items, and Bags • Wet the bar and gently work into the stained area(s). • Remove soap and dirt with a wet Lint-Free Cleaning Cloth—be sure to remove all soap. • Dampen cloth as needed and repeat the process until satisfied. • Remove Stains: Pretreat Stains Such as Dirt, Grease, Ring Around the Collar, and Cuff Stains • Wet the bar and gently work into the stained area(s). • Presoak item or just launder as normal. • Handwash: Swimsuits, Lingerie, and Travel Laundry • Wet the bar and gently lather soap throughout the garment. • Fill a wash basin or sink and soak item for 30 minutes. • Rinse well: Run tepid water through items until rinse water is no longer soapy. Do not wring. Instead, press the water out of your item. 12.
WASHING WOOL Wool, Cashmere & Blends ITEMS CONSIDERED WOOLENS: • Wool, wool blends, and wool-like synthetics should all be cared for like wool. Some examples of wool yarns include cashmere, sheep, lamb, merino, pashmina, angora, mohair, camel hair, and alpaca. Wool-like synthetics are any synthetics made to look like wool, such as acrylic. PRETREAT: • Stain removal: Target areas such as underarms, necklines, and cuffs with the Stain Solution or Wash & Stain Bar. • Odors: Add ¼ cup of vinegar to a cool water bath and soak item for 30 minutes. • Wash with like colors only. HANDWASHING: • Handwashing is always the best and safest method for treating woolens. • Prepare a “bath”: Fill a wash basin or sink with cool water and add 2 capfuls or a squirt of Wool & Cashmere Shampoo. • Submerge item: Gently agitate so your items will be evenly soaped and wet. • Soak for 30 minutes. • If there’s color in the water: This is normal; the yarn dye is simply releasing color. You will not notice any loss of color post wash. • Rinse well: Run cool water through items until rinse water is no longer soapy. Do not wring. Instead, press the water out of your item. MACHINE WASHING: • Set machine to the woolens/delicate cycle. Make sure the water is cold. • Place item in a Mesh Washing Bag, inside out. Add the appropriate amount of Wool & Cashmere Shampoo according to the label. • Remove promptly from the washer to reduce creasing. Do not put in the dryer! DRY/FINISH: • Pre-dry item using a towel: With the item in its original shape, lay flat on a towel. Roll up the item in the towel (like a sleeping bag) to remove excess water. • Lay item flat in its natural shape on a drying rack or clean towel. • Steam if needed. Do not iron! PILLS & LINT: • De-pill delicate knits with the Sweater Comb; the comb is ideal for fine gauge yarns and will handle edges such as cuffs, collars, and waistbands. For heavier gauge items such as knit sweaters, blankets, and upholstery, glide the Sweater Stone over affected areas. Always work tools in one direction. • Remove lint, fuzz, and hair with the Cashmere Brush. Brushing between wears will release natural oils that rejuvenate yarns. ADDED CARE & STORAGE: • Freshen items between wearing and washing with the Wool & Cashmere Spray. • Always store knits folded to prevent stretching or distorting. • Prevent bug and moth infestation by storing in a breathable cotton/canvas bag with a zip closure. • Always store items clean to avoid inadvertently providing a “food source” for bugs.
14.
WASHING DELICATES Silks, Synthetics & Blends ITEMS CONSIDERED DELICATES: • Items containing any percentage of silk or silk-like synthetics • Embellished items with hardware, embroidery, beading, or sequins • Swimwear, activewear, and items made mostly of spandex or elastic • Lacy or non-cotton underwear, bras, lingerie, and hosiery • Anything made of lace or fine mesh • Items labeled “Handwash Only” • Most items labeled “Dry clean” Blends should be washed according to the highest fabric percentage, except for those containing silk or wool. Blends containing silk should be laundered according to the directions for delicates, while any blend containing wool or cashmere should be laundered according to the directions for wool. PRETREAT: • Stain removal: Target areas such as underarms, necklines, and cuffs with the Stain Solution or Wash & Stain Bar. • Odors: Add ¼ cup of white vinegar to a tepid water bath, and soak item for 30 minutes. • Wash with like colors only. HANDWASHING: • Handwashing is always the best and safest method for treating delicates. • Prepare a “bath”: Fill a wash basin or sink with tepid water and add 2 capfuls or a squirt of Delicate Wash. • Submerge item: Gently agitate so your items will be evenly soaped and wet. • Soak for up to 30 minutes—do not soak silk for longer. • If there’s color in the water: This is normal, the dye is simply releasing color. You will not notice any loss of color post wash. • Rinse well: Run tepid water through items until rinse water is no longer soapy. Do not wring. Instead, press the water out of your item. MACHINE WASHING: • Set machine to the delicate cycle. Make sure the water is cold. • Place item, inside out, into a Mesh Washing Bag. Add the appropriate amount of Delicate Wash according to the label. • Remove promptly from the washer to reduce creasing. Do not put in the dryer! DRY/FINISH: • Hang to dry or lay item flat in its natural shape on a drying rack. • Most delicate items require steaming. Do not iron! • Freshen with Delicate Spray between wearing and washing.

DENIM LAUNDER: Clean, soften, and preserve color with the Denim Wash. This specially formulated detergent will leave your blue denim with that perfect worn-in feeling. WHITES: For white denim that’s clean and bright, add 1 capful of All-Purpose Bleach Alternative to load with Denim Wash and launder in hot water. To help set dye, presoak dark and raw denim in a cool water bath with Scented Vinegar. STAINS: Remove old and new stains with Stain Solution—a pretreat solution! Before laundering, apply directly to stained area(s). PROTECT: Distressed details can be laundered in the machine: simply turn the item inside out and place in a Mesh Washing Bag to protect it in the cycle. DRY: Avoid the dryer if you can! Use hot water and a hot dryer cycle to ensure there will be no further shrinkage. FRESHEN: It’s not necessary to launder denim after every wear. Use Fabric Fresh Classic between wearing to keep denim smelling clean and fresh.

MACHINE ODOR: Washing Machine: Add ½ cup Scented Vinegar mixed with 2 capfuls All-Purpose Bleach Alternative to your machine dispenser and run an empty, long load with hot water. ALL-PURPOSE BLEACH ALTERNATIVE TIPS BANISH OLD, SET-IN, AND STUBBORN STAINS Remove stubborn stains like pit stains, ring-around-the-collar and cuffs, and more by applying Stain Solution directly to the affected area and sprinkling All-Purpose Bleach Alternative onto the solution to create a powerful paste. Work into the fabric with a finger or Stain Brush. Follow by soaking the affected item in a hot water bath for up to 30 minutes. Finish by laundering as normal. Effective on old and new stains. BRIGHTEN DINGY CLOTHING AND LINENS To prevent dinginess, yellowing and graying on cottons, linens or durable synthetics, add one capful All-Purpose Bleach Alternative to the washing machine every few washes. To treat an already yellowed item, presoak in a basin of hot water and one capful All-Purpose Bleach Alternative for 30 minutes. Finish by laundering as normal. REMOVE MOLD, MILDEW, AND ODOR Kill mold growth and neutralize odor with All-Purpose Bleach Alternative and Stain Solution. Simply brush off loose mold, apply this mixture to the affected area, and use a Scrub Brush to work it into the fabric or surface. Follow by soaking the item in a bath of water and Scented Vinegar for as long as possible. Repeat until all spots have disappeared and machine wash once satisfied. Only dry when all traces of mold or mildew are gone. FRESHEN CARPETS AND RUGS Deodorize musty rugs and carpets by sprinkling All-Purpose Bleach Alternative onto odorous areas and let it sit for an hour. Vacuum the area to remove beads, dirt, and odor. CLEAN AND DEODORIZE TOILETS Traditional toilet bowl cleaners, like chlorine bleach and ammonia, produce toxic fumes. Clean responsibly with the nontoxic, eco-friendly All-Purpose Bleach Alternative. First, sprinkle one capful into the toilet bowl. Then add a squirt of Scented Vinegar, making sure to hit the sides and under the rim where stains accumulate. WHY WE LOVE MESH WASHING BAGS DELICATES & WOOLENS We always recommend using a Mesh Washing Bag when machine washing delicate items, like hosiery and lingerie, and woolens. Always select the delicate cycle and use Delicate Wash for silks and delicate synthetics and Wool & Cashmere Shampoo for woolens. TANGLING & WRAPPING ITEMS Protect hosiery, leggings, and items with ties and belts. SNAG-PRONE ITEMS Prevent snag-prone clothing like lacey underwear, lingerie, hosiery, scarves and sweaters from tearing or snagging in the machine. ITEMS WITH HARDWARE Use a Mesh Washing Bag when washing items with hardware, such as zippers, buttons or heavy details, so they won’t damage other items in the wash load. Not only will this hinder the hardware from directly hitting the machine drum, thereby eliminating breaking, scratching, and chipping, but it will also prevent loud banging sounds! MEN’S DRESS SHIRTS Always wash button downs and dress shirts in a Mesh Washing Bag to protect fabric and buttons. SOCKS Keep smaller items like socks together during the washing and drying cycles. Don’t lose anything to the sock Grinch. DENIM Washing jeans in a Mesh Washing Bag exposes them to less agitation, which preserves their color and prevents tears and frays. Distressed denim should always be laundered in a Mesh Washing Bag. ACTIVEWEAR Washing workout clothing in a Mesh Washing Bag exposes them to less agitation, preserving their elasticity and preventing shape distortion. BABY ITEMS Perfect for keeping mini wardrobes, socks, and soft toys together and preventing them from getting lost in the machine. PLASTIC TOYS Insert hard toys into a Mesh Washing Bag and use the dishwasher and Dish Detergent to clean.

tamed by pure and fresh powder notes—this is laundry after all. Warm and familiar musk rounds out this provocative, original accord. No. 10 doesn’t fully reveal itself on first sniff—this scent grows in intensity throughout the laundry cycle, lingering on your clothing and linens from dryer to drawer like an aromatic love affair.

FREE OF Allergens – The Food and Drug Administration recognizes eight major allergenic foods and food groups as defined by the Food Allergen Labeling and Consumer Protection Act of 2004 that may result in allergic reactions or cause adverse food reactions in individuals who display sensitivities to the items or their derivatives. These allergen groups account for 90 percent of all food allergies and include peanuts, tree nuts, eggs, milk, crustacean shellfish, fish, wheat and its derivatives, and soy and its derivatives. The Laundress products do not intentionally contain or contact any of these known allergens, neither as a raw material nor during the manufacturing process of the product. Ammonia – Ammonia is an alkaline chemical compound used as a household cleaning ingredient. When dissolved in water, the toxicity of ammonia does not usually cause problems. However, ammonia is an irritant and it can negatively affect the skin, eyes, respiratory tract, and digestive tract. Exposure to ammonia can cause a burning sensation in the eyes, nose, and throat, lung pain, headaches, nausea, coughing, and rapid breathing. Ammonia should never be mixed with bleach as the consequences can be lethal. Animal Ingredients – The Laundress products do not contain any ingredients produced by an animal or animal by-products (from slaughtered animals). Therefore our products do not contain tallow, an ingredient derived from animal fat which is widely used in making soap. Tallow is most commonly used in bar soaps and fabric softeners; we use plant-derived ingredients instead. Animal Testing – All Laundress products are tested on Gwen and Lindsey, not on animals. Carcinogens – Carcinogenic materials refer to any substance, radionuclide, or radiation that is an agent directly involved in causing cancer. Carcinogens may increase the risk of cancer by altering cellular metabolism or damaging DNA in cells, which then interferes with biological processes and stimulates the uncontrolled, malignant division of cells resulting in the formation of tumors. The Laundress products do not intentionally contain any carcinogenic materials at a concentration high enough to be considered harmful. Chlorine Bleach – Bleach is a chemical that functions to remove color, whiten, and/or disinfect via the process of oxidation. Liquid chlorine bleach is commonly sold as an approximately 5.25% solution of sodium hypochlorite. As a laundry additive, liquid chlorine bleach removes stains, aids in soil removal, whitens, disinfects, and deodorizes. It cannot be used on certain stains such as rust, nor can it be used on certain fabrics such as silks, woolens, or dyed fabrics—it is not color-safe. It can weaken fibers and cause fabrics to deteriorate over time and can cause yellowing. It can also deactivate enzymes found in laundry detergents or laundry aids and may produce harmful acids or poisonous gases when mixed with cleaning products. The Laundress uses sodium percarbonate as a gentle, color-safe, chlorine-free oxygen bleaching system in its products to whiten and brighten throughout the home. Dyes and Colorants – Dyes and artificial colorants are any substances added to a product to change or alter the natural coloring. Pigments and other color additives are widely used in soaps and detergents for aesthetic effect, or in the case of blue colorant, to produce a bluing action on fabrics. The Laundress products do not contain artificial ingredients; therefore, the appearance may vary slightly from batch to batch. Formaldehyde – Formaldehyde is a chemical compound that can be useful as a disinfectant and antibacterial agent. Exposure to formaldehyde can pose a significant risk to human health and it is known to be a human carcinogen. Children are more sensitive to formaldehyde toxicity than adults, and overexposure to this chemical can result in negative respiratory and nasal symptoms. Formaldehyde is not typically added as a raw material in laundry and household products but can be generated as a by-product from the chemical breakdown of certain preservatives used in the product. The Laundress products do not intentionally contain formaldehyde or any ingredients that release formaldehyde through a chemical reaction. Some grocery brand cleaners (especially glass cleaners) contain formaldehyde.
Gluten – Gluten is a protein in grains, found in everyday foods such as bread and pasta. Though harmless to most individuals, gluten causes intestinal damage to people with celiac disease. The only treatment is strict adherence to a gluten-free diet and the use of gluten-free products. The FDA proposed regulation defining the term “gluten-free” for labeling purposes is currently before the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs for final approval. Under the agency’s proposed regulation, a food may be labeled “gluten-free” if it contains less than 20 parts per million. The Laundress products do not intentionally contain or contact this known allergen, neither as a raw material nor during the manufacturing process of the product. Parabens – Parabens are a group of chemicals that are often used as preservatives in the cosmetic, food, and pharmaceutical industries due to their low cost and highly efficacious antibacterial and fungicidal properties. Parabens have a long history of safe use; however, some recent research has fueled a belief that parabens may be carcinogens. While no effective direct link has been established between parabens and cancer, there is a growing trend to utilize other preservative systems to avoid this controversy. The Laundress products do not contain parabens. Phosphates – Phosphates are salts that form alkaline solutions in water, assisting in the performance of detergents and soaps to soften hard water, remove scum, and clean more effectively. While phosphate detergents clean very well, they have been linked to environmental concerns which have resulted in the restriction of their use. The use of phosphates in laundry products has been prohibited in the United States since 1993; this ban has now extended to Europe. In addition, several states have restricted the use of phosphates in dishwashing detergents. The Laundress products do not contain phosphates. Phthalates – Most phthalates are additives to plastics which function to increase their flexibility, transparency, durability, and longevity. Some phthalates used in personal care products, particularly as fragrance components, are easily released into the environment because there is no covalent bond between them and the plastics they are mixed in. Phthalates that leach into food or evaporate into the atmosphere can cause adverse health effects, including developmental issues in children. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Consumer Federation of America (CFA), and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) show that average (total) human exposures to phthalates used in personal care products is well below the safe levels established by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and declared “safe as used.” There are no phthalates in The Laundress products or ingredients. Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) – SLS is one of the most common anionic surfactants used in the cosmetics and household industries due to its low cost and excellent foaming characteristics. It is commonly found in a wide variety of products including toothpaste, shampoo, and bubble bath due to its exceptional thickening effect and ability to create lather. This ingredient has become a concern to many because it may cause skin and scalp irritation. The Laundress products do not contain SLS surfactants, but rather use the milder form of Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLES) in combination with other secondary surfactants that couple with SLES to reduce the irritation profile while maintaining high cleaning performance. Perchloroethylene – Also known as "perc," perchloroethylene is the dominant chemical solvent used by most professional dry cleaners because it removes stains and dirt from all common types of fabrics. Perc usually does not cause clothes to shrink, or dyes to bleed—it is not flammable, unlike solvents commonly used to clean clothes in the 1930s and ’40s. Since perc can be reused, it is cost-effective. Perc is a toxic chemical with both human health and environmental concerns. The extent of any health effects depends on both the amount and length of exposure. People exposed to high levels of perc, even for brief periods, may experience serious symptoms including fatigue, confusion, nausea, and skin, lung, eye, and mucous membrane irritation. Repeated exposure at high levels can irritate the skin, eyes, nose, and mouth, and can cause liver damage and respiratory failure. The Laundress was created to reduce the need for dry cleaning (and reduce our exposure to perc). The other “green” dry cleaning alternatives have other toxicity issues. Petroleum – A petrochemical is defined as any synthetic compound composed in some part of hydrocarbons obtained from petroleum. Conventional cleaning product manufacturers use petroleum to make the solvents and other cleaning agents. Petroleum is much less expensive than the natural plant-derived alternative, and has been known to cause both skin and scalp irritation. Natural cleaning surfactants are made with oils derived from plants; the most commonly used plant oil is coconut oil. The Laundress products do not contain petroleum-derived ingredients. Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) – VOCs include a variety of carbon-based chemicals that can form vapors at room temperature and may cause short-term and/or long-term adverse health effects. A wide variety of household, cosmetic, and cleaning products contain chemicals that can release organic compounds into the air during use and while in storage. The Laundress products do not intentionally contain organic compounds that may release VOCs into the air at a level that is harmful to human health. 34.
