introduction With so many individuals in our community, it is nearly impossible to know every single person. This month, we have designed our issue with the inspiration of “Humans of New York” (HONY). The novel and blog are authored by a man who walks the streets of New York and takes photos to portray stories of interesting people. We have done just that. To illustrate the diversity that our school proudly displays, our staff members walked the hallways and streets of the Sycamore community. Because we are only in our first few weeks of school, this
issue of The Leaflet only has a few contributers. We owe a special thanks to Constantino D’Arpa, a student who took time out of his busy life to take hundreds of photos for us to put this issue together. D’Arpa is an AP Photo student who desires to continue his photo career through college. Another huge thank you goes to Brooke Landrum, a staff member who has invested an incredible amount of time in this issue. Brooke and I have worked together to find the best photos and put together an outstanding layout.
This issue aims to illustrate the talented, diverse and all around individualistic community that we foster at SHS. We hope that this issue serves as a guide to learn stories of students, parents, faculty and community members.
