Recommendation issue Summer is fast approaching and one of the worst feelings in the world is being two weeks into summer and having nothing to do. After spending multiple days at the pool or going on a single family vacation the summer seems... empty. However, no one wants to squander the few months they have off school. For this reason, we have decided to create a list of recommended things you can do this summer,
either by yourself, with your family, or with friends. It is important that the summer is spent doing things you enjoy and relaxing. However, the summer is also an opportunity to try new things or go new places. These recommendations will help you to find something you can enjoy at any point in the summer and it will ensure no moment of your summer is wasted.

1. The Naturals series by Jennifer Lynn Barnes
17 year old Cassie has a gift for reading people; she can tell you all about a person just by studying their actions. She had never thought about joining the FBI until they came calling for her. Cassie, and four other teenagers; Dean, Michael, Lia, and Sloan, are all part of a program in the FBI. Their goal? Help find and arrest killers.
Goodreads rating: 4.5
2. The Help by Kathryn Stockett
This book takes place in 1962, where African American women worked as maids, and whenever anything bad happened, everyone turned the other cheek. Skeeter just graduated from college and is looking forward to coming home. Eventually, Skeeter grows tired of the racial injustice in her small town and enlists in the help of two maids: Aibileen and Minny to write a book about how hard the maids work. The closer Skeeter gets to finishing the book, the more dangerous this plan seems to be. This book is poignant, funny, and an important book to read.
Goodreads rating: 4.45
3. Speechless by Hannah Harrington
Chelsea Knot has gossiped one too many times. And this time, it nearly killed a fellow classmate. Chelsea, realizing how dangerous words can be, takes a vow of silence. She will remain mute in order to keep from hurting anyone else. The once popular teen quickly becomes a social outcast, and a main target for bullies because she refuses to defend herself with words. Along the way, she makes several new friends, friends of the boy she nearly got killed. Can they forgive her for her actions? Will she be able to forgive herself?
