WORLD PEACE By Lukas Hoeltje

What in the world is war? War is a terrible thing that can only be described as horrendous. I will describe only a few of the terrible things in war for some things are so violent that I shouldn’t tell you. For instance, in World War II Nazi doctors amputated body parts and injected deadly drugs into their victims. In addition, 50 to 70 million people were killed just because one man hated the Jewish religion. Another example of the hardship of living during a war is that many families, had to live in darkness to prevent being bombed. Today, the whole world lives in fear of bombs and missiles. There is hope though that peace will come. In peace people live in the light without fearing death because kindness is abundant.

Humans are treated like humans For example, just because you are different, you can still be friends. If a conflict does arise, then there should be rules to follow that prevent war at all cost With peace the world is in harmony. “I have had few worse hours in my life than those I spent watching the school being taken off in drizzling rain and gathering gloom to those unknown villages, knowing I was powerless to do anything about it.”Dorothy King, teacher “I noticed a woman looking at evacuees’ hair and opening their mouths, but one of the helpers said, “They might come from the East End, but they’re children, not animals.” R Baker, evacuee from Bethnal Green.

the problems & solutions to war

the children There are many problems in war and many solutions, too. Like in World War II, one problem with war is that 1.9 million children were evacuated from their houses and needed to go through gas mask lessons, rationing and even living with strangers among other things. One million kids gathered at rail stations not knowing where they were going and possibly getting seperated from brothers and sisters who had lived with them.

Dorothy King a teacher during the war even said, “I have had few worse hours in my life than those I spent watching the school children being taken off in drizzling rain and gathering gloom to those unknown villages, knowing I was powerless to do anything about it.” Kids were targeted and the terror of bombing raids and the blitzkrieg were terrible. The Nazi soldiers even murdered children in the hundreds and sometimes in the thousands!

I hate war as only a soldier who has lived it can, only as one who has seen its brutality, its futility, its stupidity.

Dwight D. Eisenhower

prisoners of war Thousands and thousands of children were killed in gas chambers therefore earning the statement that they are “The forgotten victims of WWII” (Juliet Gardiner) The children are not the only victims. U.S. prisoners of the Japanese (POWs) were forced in the Ofuna crouch (a wall sit times 10) for sometimes hours. If the POW fell they were clubbed and beaten and if someone helped that person he would get attacked. If the POW tried to protect himself, he would just get clubbed harder.

solutions There are ways to stop war. You can participate in protests , educate yourself on the issue. Then choose a location or an event to make your work the most noticed and you can make signs. You also can gather followers in your opinion for peace, protest, make a petition and share your petition so people can sign it. Other things you can do is tell your neighborhood about your cause, vote for an antiwar candidate and financially support people who are working to end war. Finally, you could join or start a movement, make connections in the community and to gather support. With work this world can become a peaceful place.

pathways to peace There is a sequence to everything and the sequence to peace is no different. There are so many paths to peace but these are some of the most effective. One proven sequence to peace is strengthening or intervening to handle minor crises. For instance, when a group of peope are going on strike. The problems needs to be acknowledge so a solution can be found. If it is ignored, the problem can escalate into something more serious. Next Institutions should incentivize peaceful collaboration while sanctioning or containing violence. Then violence can be channeled into more constructive pathways. This can be made easier

with capable institutions and favorable structural factors, like having a democracy instead of a dictatorship. Another sequence to peace is that leaders could also put in place mechanisms that can prevent conflict leading to violence by resolving disputes over structural factors or reforming institutions. For example, if people were not happy with how laws were made then the government should listen to the people and make changes so war doesn’t break out. Successful actions that a government should have is : enable power sharing, redistribute resources and settle dispute. Finally peace can come by first,

prevention efforts led by the government which address intermediate and capital risks. It is national actors that can make big changes by addressing underlying grievances though international support that can be very helpful. war inflicting National leaders can be almost anyone though. They can be individuals or groups among other things. Second the government needs to address grievances related to power and other things. this can be done by changing incentives of actors, investments and medium term and long term institutional reforms. In conclusion those are some of the sequences to peace.

Donating what challenge By Luke Carter There are many ways to help out the people who

go to bed hungry every night. It won’t even take that much effort. One easy way to help end hunger is to do school drives. A school drive is when your school brings donations for needy families. A way to really increase the donations is if the grades compete against each other to bring in the most donations. For example, I remember

trying to earn a pizza party if our grade brought in the most items. If you think about it, if one school district did school drives we could feed almost an entire town, and that’s just one school district. Just imagine if a county did the school drives, it adds up really fast. If school drives don’t work for you or you want

Where to donate This is one of the easiest ways you’ll ever find because all you have to do is send in money to donate. The money you donate can be used for many things. The Ronald McDonald House, for example, would use the money to feed families with sick children. One of the best sites to donate to is Action Against Hunger. The money goes to detecting and treating malnutrition. Also they give money to the places have been in natural disaster or conflict of war.

Waste no morE

Some may think that the reason a lot of people` are hungry every night when they go to bed is because they are in poverty or they don’t spend their money properly. Well for some people that is true but, a big reason people don’t have food is because we waste a bunch of food. Just in America forty percent of food is wasted. That equals 165 billion dollars just from food wasted in America. Imagine how much food is wasted around the world!

Being more mindful If you’re at the grocery store make sure you don’t buy stuff that you won’t eat. What normally happens is you buy the food it goes in your fridge. Then it rots, and you throw it away. This is a waste of money and

food that could be used to help out hungry people. It happens so much and we don’t even realize it. All you really need to do is be more mindful and conscientious.

Living in an apartment may seem like it growing a garden would be impossible. And most people think the same as you. Many think there is no good way to get out of poverty. Well guess what, that’s wrong. It’s very simple actually, and it’s called an Urban Garden. This is where you garden only in pots, a bin or your container you have. You just pour in some soil, plant seeds, give lots of water and sunlight. Then over time, your plants will grow into fruits or vegetables. It’s so useful because you can get food for a cheap price, and if you take care of it you’ll get your money back For example, if you pay a few dollars for a packet of strawberry seeds, you will be able to grow enough strawberries to feed your family and even sell. You can make your money back and grow many different fruits and vegetables. For a healthy and cheap price.

Garden in an apartment

Your shoes? How about their shoes?

p! Here’s what I say to you try going just a day, an hour or even 10 minutes feeling hungry. You would feel pain in your stomach and not be able to focus on school. If you think that’s not that bad do two days. Now think about going over a week without enough food. Now just think how they feel. Also imagine having to walk over an hour each day just for good drinking water. Also imagine doing that every day for over a month. Imagine if you were this kid named

Alex and you lived in poverty. You have to walk many miles to get good clean drinking water. Also you can’t eat a lot of food every day or you’ll go in debt. The limit of meals you can have only one meal a day, and it is a very small meal also. All I hope is that people care more about how people feel when they don’t have enough food. So think if you were in their shoes. Think how you would want to be treated, and I hope you do the same for them.

creative crawling creatures by maggie lundgren Animals! Animals! Animals! There used to be significant them in the world. Why should we kill them if they do many good things to benefit humans. We need to protect them. They help humans grow food, they provide clothing and other materials we use. Lastly, these creatures are fun to be with. Animals can help plants grow. For example, bees help pollinate apple trees to make apples grow. Another example

is farmers in the country use animal dung to fertilize the soil which helps crops to grow. This is important because without animals we won’t have all the plants and food to keep us healthy. Animals help us make the material for clothes. Silkworms help make silk and the wool from sheep is used for blankets and sweaters. Some special animals entertain us and that make us laugh. They give us something to do when we are bored.

how to help: What’s one of the problem in this world? I’ll tell you what it is. Animal extinction. Why do we not see animals as often? The answer is the same the problem. Animal extinction. Now here is a question we should be asking ourselves daily, what can we do to help animals in our area. Well if

you are asking that question there are many things you can about the animals in the world. First, research animals close to you. Find a new fact about them.text you could volunteer ant an animal shelter. You could also write news papers about it and

Parrots are colorful and many people enjoy birdwatching. It is interesting to others to watch an aquarium full of fish and see them swim around. Animals are unique, entertaining, helpful, and amazing creatures. Animals are unique, entertaining, helpful, and amazing creatures. I can’t imagine a world without them can you? If not, then stand up to animal extinction.

encourage people to stop hunting animals. You can put up posters. Another option is explaining the animals view. These are a few things you can do to help animals.

put away poaching Human beings are most of the reason animals are becoming extinct. This can be because we don’t know what is happening to the animals around us or we just are not brave enough to take the risk of standing up to animal extinction. Is this because we like the way the world is? Can this be because we need animals for food? Is the case? If so, then look around you, there are other things that we can eat. For example, you could eat plants,

and use other ingredients that aren’t made of animals to make meals so that you can eat. For example, an omelette or a bowl of oatmeal is a good option for breakfast. For lunch, you could eat a bean burrito or a cheese sandwich. Lastly, a meatless dinner could contain spaghetti, salad with strawberries and nuts and garlic bread. There’s a full day of food that wouldn’t harm an animal. Thin, what else do you use

animals for? Let’s see, you can use them for food, decoration… Oh, is that what you say, decoration?! Well, in that case let me help you solve that problem. An example of other decorations in the Living Room could be a TV or fireplace in the front. On either side you could put Couches in and your family motto. In the back of the room you can put some chairs and finally you could put a table in the middle. SAVE THE ANIMALS!

animals... They help us get food. They put us in a happy mood In many ways they help the environment. They also help us feel content. The world will never be the same. Without the animals that are so tame. Animals can help us with their big fury mane. They help us get food. They clean our air.

Come, come let’s show them we care.

Poverty: Hectic Haiti By Micah Wolper

The Statistics Haiti is the POOREST country in the world. Haiti has a NATIONAL POVERTY RATE OF 58.6 which is crazy. It also has EXTREME POVERTY RATE OF 24.7%. Extreme poverty means the basic human needs can not be met like no adequate sanitation, no good drinking water, no medical help available, education, shelter, and food! Think, 24.7% of Haiti’s population has to live through that. 24.7% OF THEM! Also only 50% OF THE POPULATION in Haiti gets any education but ONLY 30%OF THEM GET TO 5TH GRADE. Another thing is 60% of the population lives on LESS THAN $1.00 A DAY (in U.S. currency). Also, almost 60% of the population LIVES UNDER THE NATIONAL POVERTY LINE, and a lot of Haitians eat mud cookies to survive. Only 50% of Haitians have ACCESS TO AN UPGRADED WATER SOURCE like a well or a pump but most of the people in Haiti depend on creeks, streams, and lakes for water no matter how clean or dirty. But even if some of the Haitians have slightly better water 80% of the people DON’T HAVE DECENT SANITATION.

Effects Of The Haiti Earthquake In 2010 A large population of Haiti’s children are ORPHANED. Even before the earthquake, 380,000 CHILDREN were orphaned, and now, even more children are. Right now, more than 250,000 orphaned children WORK AS SERVANTS, but are often TREATED LIKE SLAVES. So, one of the effects of the earthquake is it created tons and tons of orphans.

The earthquake caused even more people to be homeless than there already were, displaced more than 1½ million, more than 230,000 were killed, and 300,000 were hurt. The earthquake's strength was a seven on the richter scale and was followed by aftershocks of 5.9 and 5.5.

a scale from 0 (very corrupt) to 100 (very clean), haiti has a score of Corruption On 19 opposed to the U.S.A’s score of 79, Haiti is ranked 15th most corrupt country in the world by Transparency International's Corruption Perception Index. But why are they corrupt you ask? Well, there is lots of poverty, organized crime, gangs, and drug trafficking. Also, the continuing natural disasters keeps destroying any efforts to help Haiti and makes it harder to take out the poverty.

Protecting Animals Feel The Urge

by molly rosen

What would you feel like if you knew your favorite company is testing on animals? If you were a huge animal lover like I am you would feel frustrated you are still using their products. If you are looking to find beauty products to use that don’t test on animals here are some you can use. Some companies that don’t test on animals are AVEDA, Lush, Wet & Wild, Trader Joe’s, and Bath & Body Works. You should use these brands instead of the brands that do test on animals. Some brands that test on Hey everyone, if you want to help animals and you are wondering what you want to be when you grow up, I have a suggestion for you. If you grew up adoring pets, then the ASPCA is the place for you! You have the privilege to go save dogs from dog fighting, animals from animal hoarding, and puppies from puppy mills. If saving the animals isn’t your thing, you can also do other jobs behind the scenes. When the other workers rescue the animals you can be a vet and help heal the animal and give it a checkup to make sure it is ok. You can also be an animal therapist. An animal therapist helps the animals that are scared, agressive, and lonely become friendly and loving. When the animals are healthy you could help them get new homes that are fit for them. So, if you are wanting a job that involves animals, the ASPCA is

No Need to Destroy the Trees

If you are looking to find ways to help animal habitat loss, then you’ve found the right article. Kids, you know how in school there are bins where you can recycle cell phones? Well, if you are wondering why would anyone want to recycle cell phones, then I can tell you. In the wild, you should know gorillas need the trees to live. Well, there is a certain material in phones that is mined from the gorillas habitat. If this continues, the gorilla population will become extinct. This material, called coltan, is found in the ground so forests are being cut down all around gorillas habitats. However, there is a solution. If you recycle your old phone they can reuse the coltan in your phone for a

new phone instead of destroying more gorilla habitats. Donating old cell phones means they will not need to mine as much coltan. If you are wondering where you can recycle phones you have come to the right person. There are a lot of places that collect old cell phones. I will name a few. Your school will probably has a recycle your cell phone station. Also, the Cincinnati Zoo has one. You may have seen cell phone bins at Target too. You can always look up online other places to recycle cell phones. Remember, donating your old cell phones will help save the gorillas!

“Be The Change You Wish to See In The World” -Gandhi

Did you know you can make a difference in the world? Even kids under the age of 18 can still make a huge difference. There are alot of things kids can do to help the environment. If you help the environment become clean and pollution free the animals will live longer because they are living in a nice clean environment. Sometimes kids don’t think they can change something they really care about. So, that is why I’m writing this article. Kids, If you can do something as simple as recycling, you can change the world and I’m going to give you some ideas. Every

time you recycle you are putting less and less trash in the landfill. Another way you can help save the animals from cruelty is to spread the word. When you read this article inform your family, friends, and anyone else you know. Tell them that it is important to help save the animals we all care about! Next time you get a chance make a stand. Give a speech, research, do whatever you can to make a difference in this world. Even if you want to help another cause, still work for it and you can make a difference in our world.

Has there ever been a time where you’ve regreted not doing something? I bet there has been. Everytime you regret not doing something it is just a way to feel bad for yourself. If you are even regretting something right now, find a way to not regret it. You can still do something to help a worldwide problem. I have a cause and if you don’t help right now, in the future you will regret it. Do you want animals to still be on earth your whole life? Animals are our greatest companions. You want them to be there for the next 1,000 generations. Learn about how

animals are being treated and make a stand. Learn as much as you can. Get books, go online. I can tell you right now these articles won’t give you nearly enough information for you to know all you need to know. These articles are just giving you an idea of what people are already doing and what you can do to help these amazing creatures. You can take some of these ideas and make a whole other article. If you want to help this cause gather a group of people, inform them and they too can help you make a difference in our world.

About the Author Hi, my name is Molly Rosen. I live in Cincinnati, OH. I’m in Mrs Daleys advanced reading class. I have been living with animals my whole life. Right now I have 2 dogs, and 2 cats at home. I love them so much. When I learned how people were treating animals, I could not believe it. I now want to be a rescue worker at ASPCA.. I want to help these amazing creatures from cruelty. These creatures give so much to us, and some of us give nothing in return. We need to give more love to these outstandin creatures.

Refugees by the numbers (and how we can and should reduce them. ) By Ophelia Sidmore Out of the 7.5 billion human beings on earth, 65.6 million are forcibly displaced, and 22.5 million are refugees. Only 189,300 are resettled. Those numbers need to change! I would like to reduce this number by setting up a less inquiring background check, so that more refugees could come into the United States. I think by doing this we could open our arms to more refugees, and make the U.S. more welcoming as an opportunity for refugees who need a safe place. Also, we need to to believe that refugees are refugees, and not traitors. Yes, I understand that we have suspicion, but I think we should recognize refugees who they are, not who we think they are. Have you ever walked in a refugee’s shoes, or possibly bare feet, when gunfire rings all around? Have you ever put your children on a leaky boat headed for a country you might not reach? Have you ever made it, been filled with joy, and then get turned down because someone doesn't think your fear is real? The answer for most of us is no. And so how would you know if their fear is real or not? How? You don’t. So stop making fake assumptions based of of what you think. Use your brain and your heart, and then some more.

DECODING ALZHEIMERS by parker scholle

A Big Problem

Do you have a dream to make the world better because this is mine. My dream is that one day Alzheimer’s would have a cure and that everyone would have access to it. The reason I want to cure it so bad is because my grandpa died in 2016 from Alzheimer’s. He seemed unhappy, confused and lost in space. Also one of my friends’ grandpa died from Alzheimer’s, too. One of the main parts of Alzheimer’s is when you lose your memory. If we could find a cure, many lives would be saved. Unlike Cancer Alzheimer’s has medication to slow it down but there is no cure. That is why I want to cure

Living With Alzheimer’s

To live with Alzheimer’s it is not pleasant. I know because my grandpa had Alzheimer’s and he did not look happy. He looked sad, depressed and lost in space. It also made me feel very sad because I never got to know him very well since he had the disease the year before I was born. I wish the the disease didn’t take over his personality. One thing we did to cheer him up is take him out to get ice cream. Every now and then we would see him smile.

Helping Alzheimer’s

Alzheimer’s is a frustrating brain disorder that harms many older people who were once very active and smart. In the words of a scientist one article, “Alzheimer’s disease is an irreversible, progressive brain disease that slowly destroys memory and thinking skills, and eventually the ability to do simplest tasks. “ One cool idea that is being studied is that dancing can help slow down the memory loss. At a university in North Carolina a scientist and a dance instructor see if it is true that dancing can help slow down Alzheimer’s. If this is true then it will lead us closer to finding a cure. Maybe other disorder could also be stopped. There is also a game that can help Alzheimer’s patients called I Got It card game. But so far there is nothing to cure Alzheimer’s. But at the Baltimore medical department scientists are making mini brains and monitoring them to try to cure some of the most severe brain diseases. This sounds very hopeful to me.

Events There are many events for Alzheimer’s but one that I go to is walk to end Alzheimer’s event in downtown cincinnati. This year it is on October 20, 2018. There is also one in Batesville IN on August 25, 2018. These events will help find a cure greatly. One donator warm 98 radio station donated $9,426.

STOP WORLD HUNGER

by sophia simon

HUNGER (a problem with a solution) Did you know that there are solutions for some of the worst problems in the world? For example, world hunger is a worldwide problem with a solution. World hunger is caused when many people, usually countries at a time go hungry because of lack of soil to plant crops or lack of money to buy food to eat. Many people

around the world have donated money and food to all of the poor countries around the world to try and help. A new solution to hunger is urban farming. Urban farming is when people grow food and plants in places other than the ground such as a roof or in a pot. This usually happens in urban areas like New York City. Urban farming can be an amazing solution for areas

with no food or good planting areas. For example, just filling a container, like plastic bin, with soil and seeds, place it in a sunny spot then water it daily. Soon you will see to spices, vegetables or fruit growing. I hope to introduce this topic to the world’s poorest neighborhoods. In short this is a solution for a problem that many people face each day; World hunger

The world isn’t perfect. Almost everyone knows that. If you don’t then I am telling you now. Just like we aren’t perfect the world has its flaws too. Some examples are world hunger and world thirst or a drought.

WHY WE NEED WATER

Things like water, people depend on. They expect it to always be there when they wake up every morning and when they go to sleep. But in some places that is not the case. In places like Haiti they practically worship one cup of clean water because there so little clean water available. Just think of all the reasons we use water: to drink, to cook, to bath and to clean your things. If people drink dirty water they can get very sick.

Worldwide Problem vs. Worldwide Problem

WHY WORLD HUNGER HURTS

World hunger is different from world thirst because hunger is when a place such as a country or just a neighborhood lacks of food. As a result, people can not eat as much as then need to and they may go hungry for days and even years! This causes wide spread malnourishment, where people do not get the vitamins and nutrients needed to be healthy. Without water plants do not grow which leads to a famine. Now you can see just how these two problem are similar.

PROBLEMS CONNECT

A drought relates to both world thirst and hunger. A drought is when places are thirsty because of shortage in rainfall. This happens in places such as Australia or Western Sahara. With little rainfall, crops do not grow. Without crops, animals and people go hungry. As you can see these are two problems that the world faces and how they are different and the same.

our world is not perfect (but you can make it closer) FOOD! Is what some people are thinking right at this moment. Maybe even in your own neighborhood! But their are ways you can help. For example people who go to your school may be facing hunger. Not worldwide hunger but hunger like they may only have two meals a day instead of three. Simple stuff you may think right? But some people work two jobs so they can feed their families. Their may be people in your own town who would love a loaf of bread. Donating may not only make

someone else's day, but it can make your too! Like at school if someone is hungry at lunch because they have little or no food, give them your apple. One simple thing like that can make people so happy. Maybe even give them your whole lunch. You are probably somewhat hungry at lunch time. They are probably really hungry. Also you probably get a full dinner everyday or almost everyday. They most likely do not, so giving them extra lunch can make up for that missed dinner. Another thing you can

do is invite them over for dinner. Ask them what they would like for dinner so they can have something that they like that they do not eat everyday. You could also give them a compliment like ¨I like your clothes.¨This can make their day even more than it can make yours. Try to be their friend and be nice to their family too. Try this today! In conclusion these are some simple things you can do to make your community a better place.

a devastation in our nation WHAT HAPPENED? On October 24, 2012 a devastation came to Kingston, Jamaica. The people there experienced a terrible disaster. The wild winds and flooding waters of Hurricane Sandy wirled into the large town. People were frightened as well a surprised. ALERT! You can help! Many people in Jamaica are still suffering now from this terrible disaster that had them lose everything, their clothes their toys, their books and even their family.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

Some ways that you can help are donating your old books, clothes and toys. You could also donate canned goods such as beans or corn. Another thing that you could do to help is raise money to be donated. These things can take up so little of your time yet help so many people in Jamaica.

NATURAL DISASTERS LEADS TO HUNGER

Did you know that pretty much everyone in a natural disaster is experiences food shortage? Also 12.9 percent of the world is hungry! That is almost every 1 in every 9 people! By the ways I just told you, you as an individual can change the world. Let’s end hunger.

changing the world (one plant at a time) Did you know that their are ways that you can help the environment in your own backyard? One way that you can do it is to grow your own fruits and vegetables. You can also grow a meal. One of the most popular herb garden is called a Pizza Garden. Think: You can produce your own food. The first step is to find a good planting area, this can be in your backyard of just in a plastic bin! Next pick what you want on your pizza. You can have peppers, tomatoes, (you need them for your sauce), or even garlic. Once you have the seeds you can start to plant! First step to planting is to find some rich good, planting soil. Put it into the bin or just on to the ground outside.

Pack it in! Next dig little holes for all of the plants that you want grown. After that, put it into a sunny spot and water it at least once a day. (no more than three times a day.) Soon you will have some healthy and yummy fruits and vegetables! As soon as you pick and wash your fruits and vegetables, you are ready to start the preparation! Step Number 1: Make or buy your dough. Step Number 2: Add sauce (homemade, or store bought) Step Number 3: Add your toppings to your pizza. Step number 4: Put your pizza in the oven for about 8-12 minutes. Step Number 5: After you cool it for 2-5 minutes, you are ready to EAT! Enjoy!

Air pollution by Ty Heinen

Causes of air pollution M

any illnesses are caused by air pollution. Air pollution has short term effects and long term effects. Some short term effects are pneumonia, bronchitis, irritation to the skin, eyes, throat, headaches and much more.

Air pollution can also cause long term effects like heart disease, lung cancer, and respiratory diseases such as emphysema.

National Geographic said “Air pollution can also cause long-term damage to people's nerves, brain, kidneys, liver, and other organs.” Some scientists think that air pollutants can cause birth defects as well.

A

n organic compound called VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) commonly used in nail polish remover can cause irritation and all of that but it can also cause cancer. This compound can not only affect humans but maybe animal life as well. Although this hasn’t be proven, let’s not take chances. If this keeps up the world could have consequences like one town called Donora, PA. The story from October 27, 1948 was heartbreaking. “ The town was engulfed in smog for five days, until a storm finally swept the pollution out of the valley. By then, more than one-third of the population had fallen ill and 20 people were dead. Another 50 perished in the following months.” We cannot have this happen again because one day it might affect the world.

“One study, followed 4,602 children in Southern California between 1993 and 2012 to see how lung health correlated with three common air pollutants. As levels of ozone, nitrogen dioxide and particulate matter fell over time, so did the number of children who reported a daily cough, persistent congestion and other symptoms of irritated lungs. At the start of the study, 48 percent of children with asthma had reported bronchitis symptoms in the previous year. In communities with the greatest drop in pollutants during the study period, bronchitis prevalence fell by as much as 30 percent in children with asthma. By 2004, the American Heart Association published a consensus statement in Circulation laying out “a strong case that air pollution increases the risk of cardiovascular disease,” the leading cause of U.S. deaths.” says https://www.sciencenews.org/article/listdiseases-linked-air-pollution-growing.

Are Animals Safe?

I’ve been trying to catch a fish for hours are they gone! Air Pollution causes a lot of problems to not only humans but animal life as well. First of all industrial air pollution can cause acid rain which can contaminate plants that some animals eat.

We can see the effects of air pollution clearly in japan as where average dog life spans are 7-8 years, and in the U.S is 10 or more. As are atmosphere is disappearing to air pollution is makes more Ultraviolet Radiation is is causing more wildlife deaths because of cancer. In Conclusion, air pollution is destroying our ecosystem and unless this problem is fixed our ecosystem is endangered.

Acid rain can also leak into the ground and soil which can mess with the pH levels which can change the water and that can kill fish. Did you know that 46% of the U.S A.’s lakes are unlivable for life under the water.

We don’t only hurt ourselves but animals too.

Air Pollution Solutions The reason for this is that these pipes constantly emit fumes and waste into the air. No wonder power plants, factories, and vehicles are the leading sources of air pollution. Some things that you can do at home that help this problem are you can plant a tree, they will filter the air and you can also use a rake or a broom instead of a leaf blower.

Air pollution can be stopped. All we have to do is make a couple changes to our life. For example, turn off lights when you leave a room. Or Use washable dishes, utensils and fabric napkins. Factories, industries and car owners can help by cleaning out their smokestacks or car owners can clean their exhaust pipes.

You can also if you are going to paint paint with a brush instead of a sprayer. If you plan on mowing the lawn you should use a push or electric lawn mower. You can also use a rake or a broom instead of a leaf blower. You can also help with this problem while on the road by walking or riding a bike to places you can. Believe it or not you can also help at

work by taking advantage of the sun and open you blind and turn your lights off. Also, you can turn off all the electronics in your office building after hours. You can also help by staying in the speed limit and when accelerating accelerated slowly. Do you want our world to look like this or this

The first leading reason our air is polluted is from emissions from industrial plants and manufacturing activities. The amount of industrial activities today are causing a lot of pollution in our air. These are causing high levels of smoke, sulfur dioxide, and particulate matter. Power plants, factories, and industrial factories all release lots of organic compound chemicals, particulate matter, and carbon monoxide into our air. These chemicals are harming our air so we need to stop them.

CO2 H2O CH4

The third leading cause is farming chemicals and household items such as aerosals. There are tons of these thing that contribute to air pollution. Some you might not know, others you might. Anyway here are some major pollutants; painting supplies, cleaning products, air freshener, fertilizer powder, bug or pet sprays, and many more. These household products contaminate the air with harmful chemicals. A high build up of these chemicals in a small area can lead to serious heart and breathing problems. Another problem with these household products is that they are used very often and that means that they cause a lot of pollution.

The Three Beasts of Bad Air The second major pollutant is combustion from fossil fuels. Combustion from fossil fuels come from a lot of different things like conventional power plants, car exhaust and more. Power plants that generate power also emit dangerous chemicals into our air such as oxides of nitrogen, carbon

There are a lot of things that cause air pollution. But there are certain things that cause the most air pollution. Here is a list of the top 3 causes of air pollution.

monoxide, particulates, and hydrocarbons into our air. All vehicles that use gas or diesel also produces chemicals into the air. The problem is that humans rely on cars and vehicles so much which means lots of pollution is produced.
