Hi, my name is Allana and I am a Reservations Specialist at Infotel Solutions. We are a call centre based information service using technology to match guest criteria with suitable partner hotels nationwide. I manage their accounts, get to know the client personally and find suitable accommodation for them.
I’m Sarah and I work in Client Services. I Account Manage our member hotels throughout their membership, update the websites, promote special offers, assist of setting up the Online Booking Portal amongst many other day to day duties. I work closely with Sales, Marketing and Reservations to ensure all our members are receiving the quality service we provide. I love my job, I’m a real people person and this suits me to the ground.

What are your professional goals & dreams?
Position: The Lodge at Winchelsea
Eventually to run my own business. I took on a role at a hotel which was not very well loved in the past with staff with no enthusiasm. I came in with a fresh view and turned it around into a long running successful business where the profit is now doubling. We like to call it a home from home. Would love to have a hotel of my own one day.
Time worked here: 5 years What’s the best piece of career advise you have been given? “Don’t let work take over your personal life, find the right balance between the two.”
What one word best describes you? Fair.
What do you love most about your job? Not the paperwork!!!! I love people, I love our staff and our guests. The staff are the one’s who make the business what it is and I love getting to know the guests, especially the returning one’s, it makes all the difference.
You have £1m to spend in 24 hours, what would you spend it on? My own Hotel. What achievements are you most proud of?
What has been your most embarrassing moment in your career? Before I worked in hotels, I used to be a Butler for extremely wealthy professionals. The ladies used to like Bloody Mary’s and Pretzels in the pool which was fine but once I bent down to hand them their drink and nibbles I really didn’t know where to look!!! What has been the biggest lesson of your career so far?
Turning a failing business around into success and saving a good friends life. What is your favourite meal? Spaghetti Bolognese and a glass of Shiraz. If you could have one superpower, what would it be? To fly ... no more waiting at Airports for me!
