April Moralba Self love is difficult. I’ve always really hard on myself. I’ve talked down to myself, pushed too hard, been unforgiving, cruel and demanding. It’s only in the last couple years that I’ve been getting to know who I am, what I can handle and how I need to take care of myself. One of the key things I do for myself is my regular yoga practice. Since I’m a graphic designer and letterer, my hands and wrists really take a beating. Yoga really help me take care of my ultimate tools. It also gives me time during my day to just focus on the present, my breathing and the present instead of going a million miles an minute toggling between what I need to do and what I’ve done. I really like in person class but I’ve found a Youtube channel called Yoga with Adrienne to do yoga at home. She always says “Find what feels good” for your practice instead of trying to force any perfect poses or do what you think you should do. I think it’s pretty good life advice too outside of the mat. By no means am I some enlightened, ultra flexible guru, but I like myself a little more knowing that I’m taking care of myself. LEARN MORE ABOUT APRIL:

Courtney Macca The main thing I’ve learned this past year regarding self love can be summed up in this phrase. It combines both the value of focusing on the good in your life—all of your progress and accomplishments and blessings—and the value of letting go of the rest without judgment. Jessica Fimbel Willis Self-love this year means something different for me. In the past, I haven’t put enough time aside for myself to focus on side projects. This year, I really want to use my free time to my advantage. “You do you” is something my husband says to me a lot that it gives me the confidence to do what makes me happy every day. Kaitlin Callender Self-love is an action. It is dynamic. It grows with us as we mature and move forward in life. All of the little things that make us feel good eventually, and hopefully, turn into habits. This is one of the greatest lessons that I’ve learned. Practice self-care, be mindful, and live intentionally. The more self-love that you practice the more you will be able to relate to and attract others that are doing the same. We are all strong. We are all beautiful. We are all enough. LEARN MORE ABOUT KAITLIN:

Kate LaLime I strongly believe that in order to love and take care of others, you first have to love and take care of yourself. Whether it’s taking a nap, eating a cheeseburger or buying yourself a fancy pair of underwear, don’t forget to take time to do things just for you. L E A R N M O R E A B O U T K AT E :

Marisol Ortega Self love looks a little different as a mom these days and sometimes I can’t afford the time to sleep in, take a yoga class, meditate or even a long shower. One of my all time favorite self love moments is when I tell myself ‘I love you’ and I hug myself. Hug.it.out. LEARN MORE ABOUT MARISOL:

Lauren Florence Namaste: The light in me honors the light in you. Although it is important to honor the light in others, it is also very important to honor the light within yourself. Doing yoga has been the best practice of self-love for me. When it’s just me and my mat, I can clear my head of all negative thoughts and focus on my mind and my body. Plus it feels great! PAM GALANTE To me, “self-love means remembering to practice self-care, which largely involves allowing myself the time to rest and reflect. As someone who feels the need to constantly create art and stay busy (my friends would probably call me a workaholic), I am always reminding myself that it is OK to take a break. Taking breaks allows me to spend time with my those important to me, catch up on some yet-to-be-watched tv/movies, explore new places, or do nothing at all. L E A R N M O R E A B O U T PA M :
