This magazine will walk you through our approach to senior photography, as well as share a bit more information about the sessions & products we offer. Our biggest hope is that when you look back at your photos in years to come, you feel overwhelmingly happy. We want your photographs to radiate all of your style & personality! The seniors who choose us want their photos to be an honest retelling of just who they are. A collection of photographs that are filled with authentic, real images that capture all of the smiles, laughs, and little glances that you shared with us during your session! We believe that a senior portrait session shouldn’t be simply smiling at the camera. It should be a fun experience that brings your personality to life. BOOKING US
You already reached out and considered us as your senior photographers (YAY!!). If your think our style is a great fit with the type of senior photos you hope for (we hope you do!), simply let us know which session you would like to book and let’s find a date that works. Once these two things are decided, the booking process is completed when your parents signing our digital contract & sending off a retainer payment to secure your session with us!

We love chatting with you to choose outfits that will photograph wonderfully and represent your style. We’re happy to share our outfit inspiration guide as well as peek at photos of the outfits you’re considering. Just send them our way!
SELECTING A LOCATION
There are so many awesome locations in beautiful Wisconsin (and beyond!). We love the space and movement that outdoor senior sessions allow us. Do have beautiful land? Let’s have your session there! Love being by the water? We’ll meet you at the lake – water always photographs beautifully! Not sure where you’d like your photos done? That’s no problem – leave it to us and we’ll find something beautiful for you!
BOOKING YOUR HAIR & MAKEUP APPOINTMENTS
After years & years of photographing seniors, we’ve learned: Having your hair & makeup professionally done makes the biggest difference on how CONFIDENT you feel in front of the camera! If you need recommendations for wonderful stylists & artists in the area, just let us know – we’re happy to share!
THE DAY OF YOUR SESSION
We’re often asked what our best advice is for a fun & stress-free senior portait experience, and it is simple: let go and don’t worry about anything during your session. Your only “job” while taking pictures with us is to LOVE the experience! Laugh & play and have FUN with us while you’re in front of our cameras!
YOUR ORDERING APPOINTMENT
As soon as we get your film back from our lab, we dive into preparing your photos. The first time you lay eyes on your photographs will be approximately two weeks after your session when you and your parent(s) come over for your ordering appointment. This is where we will decide on your yearbook photo as well as any prints, canvases, or albums you might like to have!
DELIVERY
Once you decide which images you would like, we order everything for you, wrap it up, put our stamp on it, and send it off for you to adore! Prints & canvases are delivered within 2 weeks of your order, and handcrafted heirloom albums & keepsake print sets are received within 4-6 weeks.
ORDERING YOUR GRADUATION ANNOUNCEMENTS
As soon as the date of your graduation party is set, it’s time to order your announcements/invitations. We’ll customize a design just for you with as many of your senior photos as you’d like to include – this is a great way to share your images with friends/family!
WHY FILM? When you ask us about film, you’ll see our eyes grow by three sizes before we start to gush about it! We fell in love with film all over again while photographing a St Paul, MN wedding in November 2009 and, as artists, this overwhelmingly fueled our passion to create timeless portraits. Photographs created using film pair perfectly with the look & feel of moments we capture and stories we tell. Our goal is to produce the best possible work that we can for our clients and, for so many reasons, film plays a huge role in that. Film photographs are soft and classic, yet rich and SO full of life. We all have memories of falling in love with images of our parents & grandparents. Their pictures have stood the test of time, even after being shared over & over again. That’s the type of heirloom we strive to create for our seniors and their family. Photographing with film causes us to slow down and truly be present. We are more discerning andintentional with every single image we create. As a result, we are completely connected and in the moment with you. In other words, we won’t be busy peeking at the back of our camera to “make sure we got the shot” and miss your genuine laugh or that adorable glance. This makes us feel and experience the artistry behind photography — something that is often overlooked with how easy it is to fire away and take thousands of digital images.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS WE WANT TO BOOK! WHAT’S THE NEXT STEP?
Awesome! The first step is to chat with your parents and decide which session will work best for you. Next, chat with us (email is usually easiest) to find a date & time for your session. We are available for sessions on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at 8:30am or 4:00pm.
HOW DO I BOOK?
After you choose a session and we find a date/time, it’s time to make things official and reserve your session! Your parents will need to take care of this part. :) We’ll put together your contract and send it to your parents via email. Once we receive your parent (or legal guardian)’s digital signature on the contract, it’s time for your retainer payment. When these TWO things are received, your session is officially booked!
HOW DOES PAYMENT WORK?
We like to keep things simple! Payments are split into two parts. One half is due when booking as your retainer. The second half is due one week before your session. We accept payment via check or Visa/Mastercard.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
We work with all of our seniors on outfit styling prior to their session! In general for clothes: light blue, mint, blush, coral, pink & cream photographs best paired with nude or brown leather. We recommend having your nails, hair, and makeup professionally done before your session so you feel RADIANT!
