Open House Issue 97

As members of a Sheffield biker club (Road Jokers), my husband and I had plans to attend several rallies this year. Due to the current situation, a lot have been cancelled and we knew this would impact the NABD. So, when it was our turn to nominate a benefactor for our most recent fundraising street event, we nominated the NABD. Since lockdown, our neighbours have already donated numerous bags of toiletries to hospitals and filled boxes for a local food bank, as well as sending funds to other charities. 14

NABD OPEN HOUSE

ISSUE 97

We’ve done this while having socially distanced fun like bingo and quiz nights.

We had a fun day, as I hope you can see from these photographs.

On a usual bank holiday Sunday, a few of us would typically head to the Pub but were obviously unable to do that on May 24th. So, I proposed a Pub‐theme for that afternoon’s activities, suggesting we decorate our homes, gardens and drives like public houses and think of Pub names that would also be team names for the pub quiz.

Regards, Nic and Andy “Squirrel” Joseph.

People donated drinks and snacks for a “beer hamper” prize and lots of other items which were auctioned off.

What an excellent idea for fundraising, thank you very much for thinking of the NABD, and thank you for the £250.00 donation which will go straight into the grant fund. Cheers, Vic
