Scrap Police ministry, says Tinubu From Kolade Adeyemi, Kano

CTION Congress of Nigeria (ACN) National Leader Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has advocated the scrapping of two ministries — Police Affairs and Interior. He described them as conduit pipes used by the government to siphon money. WO survivors of the boat mishap off the coast of Calabar, Cross River State yesterday relived their moments of horror. Kive Sani, 27, from Togo and Hafsat Zakari, 13, from Benin were rescued by Addax workers on Sunday afternoon. They were brought to Calabar aboard a drilling vessel operated by Addax Petroleum on Tuesday. Sani and Zakari were passengers aboard a wooden boat, which departed Oron in Akwa Ibom State for Gabon last Friday.

Members of the Igbo community in Kano State have rejected the usual mass burial given to victims of bomb explosions. They insisted on retrieving the bodies for proper burial. Chairman, Senate Committee on Education, Senator Uche Chukwumerije (Abia North), who spoke on behalf
