THE REEL DEAL
Indie film origins
Some would say that the global COVID pandemic was a double edge sword. On the one hand, we lost so many people who were taken ahead of their time, but on the other, it forced society to address a work-life balance.
That said, reduced budgets, sensitive time deadlines and trying to find actors were some of the challenges faced by producers.
Social media
The origins of this sector were born from a need to control a process which was traditionally bureaucratic and often led to a compromise in artistic vision.

A conversation with Mauro Imperatori. Based in Kings Cross London, he talks to us about his journey.
Who was your influence?
Art and music were passions and remained in the background with the ultimate goal of emigrating to either the US or the UK. However, strong ambition would be the driving force that facilitated a hunger to find his fame and fortune.
Tattoo Artist MAURO IMPERATORI
Mauro had dreamt of a professional football career that would clash with an unconventional lifestyle at that time.
The Networking Magazine was keen to interview Mauro. A man stooped in history and a way of life that would see him carve a successful professional career in the Tattoo industry.
Origin
rebellious teenager, very much part of Rome's Gothic/ Punk scene in the early '90s.
Tattoos always fascinated me; some of my favourite bands all had them. Of course, that conception of a rebel and an outlaw lifestyle wasn't for everyone, but it always attracted me.
A
I believe it can be considered an art form, but I think it is more of a craft.
“My body is my journal, and my tattoos are my story.”
One year rolled into another, and that only played to the scene. A striking Mohican with an array of
Brand
A few friends were experimenting with tattoos at school. Mauro picked up a sewing needle and created his first small design on his hand.
Do you think that it's an art form?
Some of my favourites are; Paul Booth, Bob Tyrrel, Felip Lue, Robert Hernandez, Guy
So, I would say that from the early 2000s, a really good friend of mine who was also a tattooist pushed me to tattoo myself, and I liked it. However, nothing happened until 2007/ 2008, when I decided to get back into my art, drawing and painting. It led me to a place that fitted me Iperfectly.gotanapprenticeship at a place called; True Love tattoo in Denmark Place, and this is where my journey started.
"In his own words, he was a rebel without a clue".
Tattoos was a good fit for London, where his style and brand developed.
― Johnny Depp
Chapter one began in the '90s. A move to a bustling London scene where music impacted his lifestyle would find him submerged. Many jobs would see him work, from a hairdresser in Kensington market to a doorman in the legendary Intrepid Fox in London.
Tattoos always had a strong connection in his mind; it was part of a lifestyle reliant on the music scene.
How did you get involved with tattoos?

Do you assist with the designs?
Atchinson, Freddie Negrete, and Jack Rudy, to name a few.
Times have changed regarding this, the internet is a wealth of information, and people can do substantial research online.
I don't have a specific one that comes to mind; however, I always think the next one will always be the hardest. The next tattoo always keeps me on my toes.
Hours and hours will soon mount up and eventually lead to a skill base you can apply under supervision.
Very often, people bring their designs with them. I'm always available to offer input and advice, especially for custom work. I also offer my designs or tattoo concepts if needed.
tattoo lifestyle that I have always known is changing as the world of social media replaces some of those values. However, it's always less of a taboo and more socially acceptable within most age groups.
There are lots of skilled artists who are now involved in my industry, and competition is high. In the old days, the only way was to look for an apprenticeship in a shop. In my opinion, this is the best way to learn this craft.
How do people train to be a tattoo artist?
What was your most complicated tattoo, and why?
Now more than ever, the requirement is to have basic art and drawing skills and working industry knowledge. This means basic history, the names, the styles and an understanding of the tools Sadly, involved.the

The Networking Magazine was invited to cover the Big London Tattoo Show at the ExCel in London. A fascinating insight into the Big London Tattoo Show held at the ExCel London. Live tattoos, art, food, entertainment and vintage markets.
THE BIG LONDON TATTOO SHOW
Big TattooLondonShow
A tattoo show that symbolises unity from an elite community that places a value on creativity and design. A post-pandemic unique indoor event captures this art form and propels it back into the limelight.
Some of the limelight was shared with related industries such as clothing, ink suppliers, and artwork. They all seemed to revolve around the origins of this beautiful art form that was once taboo. Every stand questions.promptingcurioushadeyes
When you speak to tattoo artists, one thing that strikes you is their humility. Each artist has a story to tell. I think that having spoken to so many of them, they all have one thing in common; expression. A want and need to display a visual representation of a life story.
I witnessed the artists' hard work as I walked around the stands. Live tattoos seemed part of the ambience and captured the hearts and minds of the audience. There was no modesty withheld as models, and the public held nothing back. This made me release that tattoos and confidence have an underlying relationship.
TATTOO ARTISTS
Tattoos have changed over the decades, but their meaning is personal and profound. Celebrities from all genres and, most recently, from the social media landscape have propelled their popularity almost to a form of status.
RELATED INDUSTRIES
I listened in as there was laughter and banter, no obstacles that would prevent sales. This was an eye-opener as you realise there is so much more to this industry.

Influencer
Never underestimate the business behind the art. It's big, and you get a sense of that from the quality of business cards, banners, posters and overhead monitors. These tools played to affect enhancing the individual artist's brand awareness.
Branding
No expense was spared; newbies started on a platform like Etsy during the pandemic. As a result, their business models grew online and now have a visual representation in the form of a pop-up store at this event.
With just under 30k Instagram followers and a contributor to some of the graffiti in London, she always gives credit to her peers. As a result, she has won countless awards, some of which are the most prestigious in the industry. A reputation that proceeds, your mesmerised watching her work.
I want to shout out to the food hall staff, security, entertainers and venue organisers. Everyone worked hard to ensure that the show was more of a memory than an event.
As you walk around, you can't help but notice that age has no bearing on the tattoo industry. The significance of ink hasn't changed, and somehow there is a draw for the older generation to embrace more modern tattoos that perhaps in their day would have been shunned upon. I believe this has impacted the industry and helped make tattoos more acceptable in society.
Age
My journey into this sector began with a bychance meeting with an influencer who is far too modest to admit that she is. Angel Grace is a lettering specialist and is well known within the inner circle.
