WELCOME DINING TABLE Welcome Dining Table designed by Matthew Raw is par t of The New Craftsmen’s ‘Claylarks’ collection. The Welcome Dining Table has a solid oak top with two fully tiled cylindrical columns at the base, finished with two inlaid circular tiled areas on the surface, as though the columns emerge through the timber top. The hand-built tiles used on the table are the same propor tion as the welcome range and come in a range of custom glazes, suitable for the top. Matthew has collaborated with two different craftspeople to product the forms on which he then applies his handmade tiles. Whilst Mudlarking on the River Thames, Matthew was fascinated by the potter y sherds that had washed up on the foreshore. He took inspiration from the sherds and their varied hues in creating the glaze for this table.

KNAP LIGHT Knap Light by Annemarie O’Sullivan is part of the ‘Plant Explorations’ collection, facilitated by The New Craftsmen. Annemarie found inspiration in the elegance ERH IJ½GMIRG] SJ .ETERIWI GVEJXWQERWLMT ERH LEW GVIEXIH a light that contrasts an ordered wooden framework against the dynamic wildness of around 8,000 cane knots. The word ‘Knap’ is an old English word which refers to the ‘crest of a hill’ - a nod to Annemarie’s East Sussex surroundings and its landscape, which provides a constant source of inspiration. The Knap Light is a celebration of bundling and binding techniques and the repetition of knotting, while pushing the material into a dense mass to form a striking sculptural piece rich with layers of illumination. CLOVER LIGHT IN BLACK The Clover Light in Black by designer and furniture maker, Alexander White, builds on the qualities of his sculptural Michael Cane Light. Furthering his exploration of layering rattan cane under light, Alexander set himself the challenge of condensing his ideas to create a more compact piece. Each part of the light is formed by rolling the cane webbing onto itself, then repeated to create the clover-like shape. Alexander’s clever exploration of three dimensionality makes this piece come to life with great elegance and simplicity. The light comes ready to be installed into mains power and includes a white-light based LED with driver.

SUGAR CONE LIGHT IN GREEN Sugar Cone Light in Green by ceramicist Rich Miller. TIDE LIGHT The feature light is made from ceramic ‘sherds’ in a tonal palette of glazes and textured surfaces. Matthew took inspiration from the actual forms of the sherds he found while mudlarking and the Museum of London archive, where potter y sherds were laid out on fantastic blue tables and as a result their shapes became highly prominent. Matthew loved the myster y of their origins and purpose, as well as the way they had been worked by the river into graphic shapes. The glazes and textures in the Tide Light both reflect the shards Matthew found and his own rich glaze recipes, which could become found relics of the future. Aside from their individual stories, Matthew loved then arranging the pieces together to create various formations. Their form, how they overlapped, the space in between and the relationship between each colour and finish. The highly sculptural yet functional wall light casts an ambient glow from behind and can be commissioned in a range of bespoke glaze combinations.

METAMERIC TABLE LAMP Metameric Table Lamp by Edmond Byrne continues to explore the Metameric phenomenon; when two individual colours appear indistinguishable to the human eye, their difference is revealed with a change in ambient light. Composed by stacking 3 individual glass vessels, light passes through multiple layers of glass in this sculptural lamp, creating an ambient and ethereal light. Edmond’s approach to craft is experimental. The themes of assembly, stacking and play run consistently througout his practice, and he works with a librar y of textures and forms to achieve his exquisite final pieces..

SOMA TABLE LAMPS The Soma Table Lamps are an extension of the Soma Vessel collection by ceramicist Viv Lee. With these lamps, Viv continues her exploration of the materiality of clay and the metaphor of body as a vessel. Inspired by surrealism and the biomorphic sculptures of Hans Jean Arp, Viv finds beauty in asymmetr y and the irregularity of the human body, rather than seeking perfection in symmetrical forms. Viv approaches making as a means of connection to self and nature, appreciating the diversity of forms that emerge and embracing flaws; accepting them as the beautiful idiosyncrasies that make each lamp unique. Each piece is fitted as standard with a UK plug, 3m beige flex and a round cream shade. An E27 bulb is recommended (not included). International wiring is available, please enquire for fur ther details.
