Anthony DeRosa is a fourth-year journalism major who spends most of his time solicting money from strangers so that he may realize his childhood dream crime as a non-copyright protected batoriginal, design. For now, he works as news editor at The New Paltz Oracle and often wears a near-incomprehensible gruff voice that only seems to get worse as time goes on. He is a world-class liar and cheater, having a federal ban placed on him from playing any board game in the continental United States. He hopes to one day host a real-life “Hunger Games” with orphan contestants.

Zameena Mejia is a fourth-year Journalism-PR and Spanish double major honors student. She began writing for The Oracle in her second-year, but has been writing in personal journals (22+) and blogging since she was 10. With the support of a loving family, boyfriend, three dogs, a baby niece and great friends, she manages to balance classes, an internship and a professional blogging gig. Long before Spotify, Zameena’s eighth grade homeroom teacher dedicated a space on the chalkboard for her daily music recommendations. Today, she is a museum-hopping, concertgoing, adventure-seeking traveler who is always up for a new challenge.

Jennifer Newman is a fourthyear journalism major with minors in studies. In addition to her work for The New Paltz Oracle, she is the News Director of the campus radio station, WFNP, a Peer Career Assistant in DuBois Hall and part-time worker for Clear Channel Communications. She likes to write on a broad range of subjects such as the environment, limited amount of spare time she has, Jen watches “Once Upon A Time” and “Supernatural.” She loves anything spending time in the water.

journalism major entering her second semester on staff at The New Paltz Oracle. and is really looking forward to covering all of the talented athletes that are present at SUNY New Paltz. The dedication between a person and the sport they play is something that she really admires because she has that same feeling about writing and reporting. When she isn’t busy with The Oracle around on wedding boards on Pinterest or excessively taking photos of her poodle. Kristen absolutely loves working for The Oracle and she thinks that you should light section this semester!
