Action Points and Matters Arising •
Bowden doors has been cleaned up and a retaining buttress is in place. ◦

Tony Hume has said that the estate will be providing the stiles.
StB reported on access at Shitlington ◦
The access situation is to be clarified in the guide

IB will talk to John Vaughan about access
◦
StB proposed investigating the possibility of buying access in perpetuity to the part of the crag that is on private land.
Website Updates •

JD has updated Issuu links for guide ◦
The Shitlington and Caller guides are nearing completion

A weekend meet at newly written up crags was proposed
The Stell has been written up on UKC, using material from the NMC guide ◦

IB will contact the owner of the writeup and encourage them to use the proper link to the NMC guide
Simon Lichfield is in the process of compiling the information he used for his guides to be included in the NMC guide currently under development

Membership Update •
AW will forward the necessary material for paying the BMC quarterly renewal
•
3 coaches and 9 learners will be participating in the Learn to Lead course
•

The course is to be funded by £35 per head learner fees, £150 subsidy from the BMC and £150 from the NMC
◦
One of the coaches involved, Cliff Lowther, is certified to instruct under-18s
AW raised the issue of next year's agreement with Hadrian Leisure ◦

ES asked about the status of non-members coming to NMC events ◦

The current stance, as explained by AW, is that membership is not required to attend evening meets.
IB has promoted the NMC to members of the University club.
Upcoming Events •
The next committee meeting is to be held at the Cluny, with a pub meet for the general membership to follow immediately.

StB is to investigate bands for an NMC Ceilidh, and ES is to investigate potential venues, starting with the Cumberland Arms
Correspondence •
The issue of advertising on the NMC chat group was discussed in response to correspondence received and it was agreed to establish a principle of disallowing advertising with possible exceptions to be addressed on a case-bycase basis

AW has replied to the BMC email about National Trust huts and has clarified the reasons for the NMC's decision not to continue the Bowderstone lease.
Communications •

AW will make initial contact, and has suggested another committee representative accompany him to the meeting with Hadrian Leisure.
The County Climber is scheduled for release in late May/early June ◦
StB is providing photos of the collapsed wall at Bowden Doors
