Action Points and Matters Arising •

JD has sent IB the wording for the new crag signs and IB has been in touch with the BMC Access Officer, Rob Dyer, who will now be responsible for producing and erecting the signs.
Membership •
AW has completed the return to the BMC ◦
there are currently 144 members, including 20 marked as lapsed.

The BMC training funding was held back until the change in membership numbers since the application was made was explained.
•
The Learn to Lead course went ahead in spite of inclement weather with 9 candidates and 3 coaches ◦
AW recommends following up with the learners to help them consolidate their skills.
•
AW will circulate a list of all recent members to the committee
•
ES raised the issue of new members' skills and safety ◦
It was proposed that the requirement that a member be competent to tie in and belay be made clear on NMC chat, and that the responsibility for supervising new members be spread among experienced members of the club.

Upcoming Events •
The Wasdale meet is scheduled to take place on the weekend of the 20 th of June
•
The Rumbling Kern barbecue is scheduled to take place on the weekend of the 27th of June
•
ES and JS have found that the likely cost for hosting an NMC ceilidh would be £550 – it was generally agreed that the ceilidh would not qualify for subsidy from the club and would only go ahead if it was likely to cover the cost from ticket sales.
Communications •
AW to put newsletter together to push the Langdale meet
•
AW proposed changing the release schedule of County Climber. SnB proposed an NMC blog with blog digests published at regular intervals.
