RF presented a sample vest and colour swatches he had obtained from a possible T-shirt supplier ◦

The supplier's prices are £6.65 plus VAT for each t-shirt, and £25 + VAT for a screen for each design to be printed

AW will get in touch with DA to find out about the arrangement the club had with the previous supplier.

AW to come up with a suggestion for the proportions of different sizes and male/female T-shirts to be ordered

AGM •

The AGM is to be held on the 25th of Jan

It was agreed that we are to use a classroom as opposed to a lecture theatre again, and to maintain the forward-looking focus of last year's AGM

All committee members are expected to remain, Robin Sillem wishes to join

Winter Meets •

All meet leaders are confirmed, apart from for the Ben Nevis meet

AW reiterated the need for a Hadrian's Leisure liason ◦

FL raised the question of how much the club would spend on subsidising the winter skills course, noting that the instructor has quoted a price of £400 and there are 6 spaces with 5 attendees signed up ◦

JS will sound out AB to find out if he is willing to take up the role

AW suggests a maximum NMC contribution of £100

RF has booked Lau's Buffet King for the late autumn meal

JS reports that Julian Lines has agreed to speak on December 7 th ◦

JS will be responsible for organising the talk

In view of the limited time before the talk, the consensus is to hold the talk at Hadrian Leisure and promote it to sister clubs rather than seeking a larger venue and wider audience

JS proposed a members' slideshow be arranged this winter ◦

StB reported correspondence on UKC and CountySyke about the issue of bouldering with LED lamps ◦

8

AW suggested CH would organise the slideshow

He has replied, elucidating the club's position, that individuals are to respect requests to leave private land and allow the BMC to negotiate on their behalf, and that landholders near access land who may be affected will be informed about lamping as a matter of courtesy

Communications •

RF queried the inclusion of addresses in the handbook ◦

It was clarified that the addresses are included mainly for the benefit of allowing new members to know other members living near them, and that members can opt out of having their address listed

JS reports that a bumper issue of County Climber is in progress and due for release before Christmas

The guidebook team now has photos for 14 crags

StB has most recently been working on the guide for Hepburn, of which he has shown a draft
