Approval of Minutes of last meeting Minutes approved by RF and FL

Action Points and Matters Arising •

RF reports that 17 T-shirts have been sold at a price of £10 each

FL reports that he has been approved for access to the club's bank account and is waiting for the card reader that will allow him online access

StB reported that the hotel in which the previous year's President's Dinner had been held is willing to do a deal for this year and that he intends to take them up on it ◦

RF suggested we should ask for better vegetarian options

StB raised the issue of joint meets with the Wanneys ◦

A member of the Wanneys club has suggested the possibility of the Wanneys and the NMC running joint meets

ED will be asked if there are winter meets on which additional spaces can be booked with the option of use by Wanneys members

The committee agreed to promote 2 or 3 Wednesday evening meets to the Wanneys club and invite them to weekend camping meets

The proposals are to be put to John from the Wanneys and discussed further on NMC chat

CH reported that a number of the Facebook events for Wednesday night meets had been created as private, and that he plans to delete them and recreate them

StB reports that the NMC and Mark Savage will be collaborating on a history of climbing in Northumberland for the club's 75th anniversary and expects financial support from Scarpa ◦

The size of the print run and distribution strategy are to be discussed

Guidebook Issues •

StB reported that the club would not be producing new definitive guides while still holding large stocks of the current guides and continuing to sell the current guides

Contributions to the wired guide will continue

StB reports that the different contributors to the Wired guidebook have agreed to subcontract layout work to Don Sergeant to ensure a consistent style ◦

StB reports that a representative of Cordee was at the Wired guidebook meeting and believed that the Northern Rock guidebook could sell as two volumes

StB reports that so far there is only one volunteer for the NMC guidebook subcommittee and that he will put out a call for volunteers on Facebook

The extent of regrading that may be required was discussed

StB reported that a number of crags were being re-photographed with drone photography AoB

CH raised the issue of inducting new honourary members ◦

Candidates for induction are to be decided next month

CH proposed some form of ceremony to be associated with the induction of honourary members ▪

StB suggested that honorary member induction could be accompanied by a presentation at the President's Dinner

StB proposed that a limited number of members could be considered for honourary status on an annual basis

MDC proposed a Gogarth meet

StB drew the committee's attention to the BMC meeting on Thursday the 6 th about the motion of no confidence
