Approval of Minutes of last meeting Minutes approved by CH and FL

Action Points and Matters Arising •

FL reports receiving an invoice for web hosting and needs to confirm with CR and ED who is to be responsible

CH reports that he has an upcoming meet with the potential for the NMC to book two additional hut spaces , and that he plans to advertise the meet the week before and see if the NMC should book the remaining spaces

JMcC proposes polling meet leaders to see if there are any meets that need additional effort to fill

The sticker competition was discussed ◦

It was proposed to judge the competition at the President's meal and publish the top photos in County Climber

CH volunteered to collect submitted photos

It was proposed to make the sticker competition an annual event, publicised in the handbook

BMC •

CH spoke to the BMC area rep ◦

At the last BMC meeting the main discussion was about whether or not the BMC should widely publish details of crags that are closed due to nesting restrictions, or limit the information to signs at crags, out of concern that the list of restricted crags could be used by egg poachers

The conclusion was that the BMC should continue its existing policy of widely publicising the list of nesting restrictions

The committee agreed that the NMC would publicise the BMC North Yorkshire festival on Facebook and via email

RF has told CH that there is nothing to report this month

The committee decided to review the stocks to see if a new run was warranted. There was some support for a new design Camper vans on Meets

6 •

The committee considered what the policy should be for members who bring camper vans to hut meets

The consensus was that the matter should remain at the meet leaders discretion with a few general principles ◦

It was generally agreed that a member who attends an undersubscribed meet and uses the hut facilities should pay as if they were occupying an unused bunk space

Voluntary contributions for the use of hut facilities, eg contributions for buying heating fuel are to be encouraged

CH proposed a summer barbecue ◦

CH will investigate possibilities for having a barbecue near a bouldering venue
