ormer Junior Royalty member Ziri Morales serves as an alternate to the Strawberry Festival Royalty Court this year. This is the first year the festival has named an alternate who will fill in on the parade float if one of the other members is absent or walk beside the float if all are present. Ziri is an Arlington High School junior and Everett Community College running start student who said her time with the Royalty so far has been going well. “So far it’s been going great,” she said. “We’ve had some really long road trips but that’s good because it gives me and the other girls a lot of bonding time.”
