The Royal Canadian Legion, District D Toronto, will host its summer track and field meet at York University, 4700 Keele St., Sunday, June 23. The meet will offer all track and field events to Midget 15 and under and Youth 17 and under of the competSunday ing year for both male and female. Athletes can enter up to three events. Competitors can register on event day starting at 8:30 a.m. or in advance by Tuesday, June 18. The top 40 athletes who qualify at the district meet can advance to the provincial level. The top 40 athletes who qualify from that meet can advance to the national level.

Moveathon, Steven Dennis says his job is an uphill battle. “It feels like an impossible job every year,” he said. It falls on him to get people to partic-
ipate in the annual fundraiser, a task that is getting harder every year as more and more well-known charities turn to cycling to raise money.
Dennis knows the Zareinu Educational Centre of Metropolitan Toronto isn’t a big-name charity. But it’s a place that tugs on people’s
