said Hewitt, who has called Thompson House home for seven years. “I feel it’s important because I live here, I know what’s needed. The building is getting old and needs a lot of repairs. Our goal is to raise money for electric beds.” Hewitt’s fundraising goal is part of Better Living Charitable Foundation’s 17th annual Stroll, Roll and Run Relay, set to take place Sunday at 1 Overland Blvd. from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Like the name suggests, participants can stroll, walk, roll on roller blades or wheelchairs, run or jog in an effort to match and exceed the $28,000 raised from last year’s event. Routes range from a one-kilometre Supporters Scenic Stroll or Roll, to a 10-km Champions Challenge Run, and a four-km Corporate and Community Relay. Registration is free, but participants are encouraged
