Residents are applauding a decision by the Ontario Municipal Board to reject a proposed 10-storey condo building on Yonge Street north of York Mills Road. Meanwhile, the developer plans to go back to the drawing board and return with a new plan for the site. Don Valley West Councillor Jaye Robinson has already said Mayor Rob Ford fired her

from his executive committee this month after she spoke out during the controversy over a video allegedly showing Ford appearing to smoke crack cocaine.

Now, she’s wondering if her outspokenness has prompted Ford, who has denied using or being addicted to crack cocaine, to bypass her during the planning process for a potentially

contentious development proposal in her ward. Robinson suspects Ford sidestepped her “because I’ve been speaking out on the allegations,” Robinson told The Mirror
