Jefferys Collegiate Institute student Jeremiah Perry, who was in the park as part of a summer school outdoor education program, was swimming with classmates on Tuesday, July 4 in Big Trout Lake when he went underwater and failed to resurface. The body of the 15-year-old was found the following day. "It is with great sadness that we start this fund in order to support the Anderson/Perry family following the loss of their son, Jeremiah Perry," the GoFundMe page reads. "Jeremiah was an amazing young adult who brought laughter and love to his friends and family. He was a compassionate and loving son who cared deeply for his family and friends.
