That’s how a 49-year-old man described the moments after a man opened fire inside North York Sheridan Mall, killing 22year-old Etobicoke resident Jovane Clarke. The 49-year-old, who didn’t want his name published, said he was in the mall with his wife around 5:30 p.m. Aug. 31. "We were in the food court. We got something to eat," the area resident said. The couple then went upstairs on an escalator and turned left toward a clothing store. It was then that Clarke, who had braided hair and wore white pants and a blue shirt, was seen running into the mall through the entrance by the CIBC, followed by a man with gun in hand.
