Welcome Hi friends, in July 2019, I began brainstorming a way to combine my love for all things weddings with my talents and modern aesthetic. The Ohio Wedding Collective was conceived and developed. It is almost unimaginable that we launched this project just four months ago as I write this note. Thank you to all the vendors, small businesses owners, who have believed in my vision and jumped on board. We wouldn’t be where we are today without all you. Also, thank you to the couples that have given us a like, share, and love. meet the team
ASHLEY PRICE COLLECTIVE DIRECTOR Hey friends! My name’s Ashley Rene. I’m a 5 foot 3 inch spitfire who laughs too loud and talks too much. I love making people laugh and cannot go a day without my morning cup of coffee. I photograph couples who are adventurous, a little bit quirky, and who are in love for a living. I live in a country cottage on two acres with my hubs and we spend most of our time playing cards, exploring our little city of Baltimore, or drinking bourbon. I’m so happy you’re here. One of my biggest dreams in life is to encourage + inspire other creatives and help couples discover their dream vendors. This is what led me to become Collective Director and I love every minute of it. I enjoy helping local creatives by encouraging them to showcase their work, while helping couples see all the inspiration that goes into planning their perfect day. We truly have it all! I hope you find the Collective motivating, inspiring, and just useful in everyday life!

How we met: It all started on a random Thursday night in February 2013. AJ and I met at a social event while we both attended Miami University of Ohio. The event was Aspen Ski themed, and even through the ski goggles and 80’s gear I knew there was something special about AJ. We exchanged numbers and went on our first date a week later‌and the rest is history! We finished school two years later and began a long-distance relationship. I began grad school in Pittsburgh, and AJ returned home to Cleveland.

Proposal: During my last year of grad school, AJ and I planned a Christmas trip to Florida with his family. Because Christmas is a HUGE deal to me, I decided to fly and meet AJ and his family in Florida on Christmas night, as to not miss Christmas morning with my siblings and parents. Of course, my flight was delayed and I did not arrive until 1am (little did I know until after the fact that this ruined AJ’s proposal plan). The next morning everyone opened Christmas gifts and settled into vacation mode. The plan was to take family photos on a lake at sunset near my now brother-in-law’s house. On the way to the lake, AJ was acting a bit strange (very jumpy and full of energy), I checked his pockets and did not see anything that resembled a ring box so I shrugged it off as excitement to all be together as a family. We began taking pictures as a family then it turned into only couple’s pictures. When it was our turn for pictures, AJ got down on one knee and proposed. It was the most perfect moment, and the best moment of my life (until I said “I DO”)! The Ohio Wedding Collective// Vendor Guide// Spring 2020

Wedding: Where do I begin picking my favorite moments from this day, can I say every moment was my favorite ?? Our wedding day was everything we could have dreamed. One of my favorites moments/details of our day was the first look. All of the stress of planning and emotions leading up to the wedding day disappeared the second I saw AJ the morning of our wedding. To me, it was very important to have the alone time with my soon-to -be spouse before celebrating with all of our family and friends. Our photographers were amazing and truly made our wedding day perfect. The Cannon’s kept us on schedule throughout the day, while capturing every event (and candid’s) as they came. I absolutely loved both our ceremony venue (Western Reserve Historical Society) and our reception venue (Shaker Heights Country Club). The WRHS provided the elegant/historical/garden theme I envisioned and everything was perfect (even the 90 degree heat!). All of the staff at both locations were extremely helpful, we did not have to worry about any of the details throughout the entire day. My most favorite part of the day, of course, was saying “I DO.” A unique part of our ceremony was we tied a literal “fisherman’s knot”, where the bond only gets tight the more you pull on the strings and never parts. G A R D E N F R E S H | M O L LY + RO S S Many elements pulled together creating a delicate balance between classic, formal, colorful, and unique. Molly and Ross LOVED the idea of creating a monogram for use beyond the wedding - a family crest with a sense of longevity. Once the classically intertwined monogram was complete, Molly wanted an eclectic combination of the wedding colors, springtime watercolors, and a nod to their home in Colorado, to play together seamlessly from start to finish!

Guests knew Katherine and Jonathan’s black tie affair in The Renaissance’s ballroom in downtown Cincinnati would be dripping with glam. A laser-cut star-field enclosed the gold foil and black letterpressed invitation. Multiple shapes and patterns adorned the additional inserts and no detail was left behind – check out the seamlessly placed postage. Even the mailman wanted to attend!

FRESH + PREPPY | BETSY + MIQUEL A well-balanced collection of stripes; navy, hot pink and kelly green type; and damask all tied together with a clean grosgrain ribbon and monogrammed wax seal. Betsy and Miquel embraced their country club chic style and treated their guests to a wedding Kate Spade and Lilly Pulitzer would have enjoyed sipping cocktails on the lawn followed by dinner and dancing.

O RG A N I C A N D P E RS O N A L | EMMA + JOHNNY When the bride’s parents host the wedding and you say your vows in the family apple orchard, you want everyone to feel like they are at home. Softly deckled-edge cotton stock, printed in warm autumn greens and golds – I can smell the bonfire, and look forward to a cozy family-style meal served at welcoming farm tables overlooking the orchard. I bet there were s’mores!

RO M A N T I C + W H I M S I C A L | C O U RT N E Y + S E A N The direction – “winter-y without the holiday,” “mysterious without being moody,” and a “subtle hint to the couple’s love of Harry Potter without being obvious.” The mix of the rose gold foil with the smoky teals, and subtle nighttime motif over the watercolor forest – imagine arriving under a winter moon in the chilly December air, only to be greeted by a romantic ballroom aglow with lit candelabras and string quartet.
FEMININE + TIMELESS | TESS + CHAD Without feeling the paper you know that this is light and airy. Softly torn edges seem almost vintage, and feminine calligraphy makes it feel like a love note. Tied with the softest blush, Dupioni silk this style is season-less and just says “wedding.”

CLEAN + MODERN | HAILEY + KYLE A destination wedding in Austin, Texas for this young couple residing in Manhattan. Very simple, very clean, very modern. Square premium cotton paper corner-rounded and letterpressed in a crisp black ink. A liner just hinted at a ceremony under the Chuppah adorned with neutral Pampas grass and orchids.

Mackenzie and Justin wanted a beautiful wedding, surrounded by their cherished family and friends with sentimental details and moments that they would never forget. When it came to planning, Mackenzie knew more than anything was that she wanted something very elegant and timeless. She envisioned gold and rose gold/blush colors surrounding their day. Nicole with Sirpilla Soirees was able to take that theme and run with it, creating a perfectly styled day that was everything this couple could hope for and more.

A few things that make this wedding special: Mackenzie fell in love with Adrianna Papell's designs for Bridesmaids dresses at Vera's Ladies Apparel in Medina and instead of just choosing one style, picked several designs for her girls to choose from that were similar so that when put together, made a stunning statement of beautiful blush and rose gold that tied perfectly into the colors and theme she envisioned. Mackenzie chose her getting ready location to be her childhood home, which is also where she shared her First Look with Justin and some sweet pre-ceremony family photos. Mackenzie's bouquet, designed by Seiferts Flowers in North Canton, was very unique in that it had Magnolias (since she grew up in Magnolia, Ohio) as well as evergreens since her family owns a Christmas Tree Farm.

The best part about this beautiful spring wedding was the many moments of joy and beauty throughout the day. We were able to not only take photos at her childhood home, but at various iconic spots in downtown Canton. After the beautiful ceremony at The Old Stone Chapel, we headed to Glenmoor Country Club for additional photos at their beautiful bridge and in front of the club. Once the photos were finished, the Bride and Groom were greeted by a gorgeous tented cocktail hour and reception designed by Sirpilla Soirees. The clear tent allowed for beautiful filtered light to shine through, creating a lovely ambiance for their First Dance, cake cutting and dinner. The rest of the night was spent celebrating and dancing with their best friends and family. Their wedding day is still a memory that they love to look back on almost one year later with joy and love. The best thing to hold onto in life is each other. AUDREY HEPBURN
Erica and Evan’s moody fall downtown wedding was filled with burgundy, peach, touches of gold and black. The city skyline was the perfect backdrop for their ceremony as they wed in front of an eight-foot arch adorned with sweeping ferns, fragrant roses, and ruffled dahlias. The bride mixed modern and boho vibes seamlessly with a vintage Persian rug, acrylic place cards, and table numbers. They wanted their day to be completely about celebrating their love so they had no bridal party and instead decided to include their close friends and family at their table during the reception. Everyone danced the night away under the glow of the vintage lights and the roaring flames coming from the fireplace. It was a perfect midwestern fall evening for our couple and their guests to celebrate the commitment they had just made to one another.
