ributes flowed this week for Gill Dalley, co-founder of world renowned Soi Dog Foundation, who died on Monday after a short battle with cancer. Ms Dalley passed away at 1am at Bangkok Hospital Phuket. She was 58 years old. “The inaugural winner of the Canine Hero of the year award at the
2011 Animals for Asia conference in Chengdu, China, and the first nonAsian by birth to be named an Asian of the year by Channel News Asia Singapore in their annual awards, Gill passed away after a short battle with cancer,” Soi Dog Foundation announced in a release issued on Monday (Feb 13). Ms Dalley’s body will lie at her family home in Laguna until tomorrow (Feb 18). Friends and family are welcome to visit to pay their respects
between 7pm and 8:30pm. “On Saturday morning the house will be open again to friends and family from 10am for a celebration of Gill’s life, followed by a brief prayer led by monks before Gill’s body is taken to Wat Cherng Talay at midday,” Soi Dog told The Phuket News this week. “There will be another short ceremony at the temple, followed by the cremation.” Husband John Dalley, also Co-
