Meet the Pingry people behind MRS. UDESHI KINDERGARTEN TEACHER When Mrs. Udeshi began teaching Kindergarten at Pingry in 2008, it was the school’s collaborative spirit—its philosophy of sharing, among faculty and administrators—that most struck her.
“We, as Pingry teachers, get to choose what we think is best practice. We are constantly questioning, bouncing ideas off each other. It’s truly a talented group of faculty.”

KAT CLASS OF 2019 Kat joined Pingry in Grade 6 via schools in Germany and Greece. Originally, drama wasn’t on her radar. But the following year, she decided to give it a shot. Since then, she has been involved in two productions a year, and once she hit the Upper School, she began stage managing the Middle School musical as well.
“ Being part of that [first] play really helped me to adjust to the school and it took me out of my shell—now I’m definitely the loudest in my class! That experience solidified how much I enjoy acting and singing.” –Katerina Deliargyris ‘19

THOMAS CLASS OF 2024 Thomas, who began Pingry as a fourth-grade student, has always enjoyed reading and writing. But, he admits, if it weren’t for Mrs. Sherman’s writing class—a new offering in the Lower School, and part of the students’ comprehensive language arts curriculum—he probably wouldn’t write on his own.
“Every year, with every teacher, my writing improves. Every teacher is different, and I learn so much.” –Thomas Yanez ‘24

JUSTIN CLASS OF 2014, WILLIAMS COLLEGE Justin was a four-year cross country and three-year winter and spring track runner at Pingry (and captain of all three teams his senior year). Looking back at his Pingry athletic experiences, however, the big meets and big honors aren’t what stand out for him.
“ The days leading up to an important race—talking to Coach about my goals—were almost more memorable than the race itself. Coach Horesta was always confident that I could succeed. He taught us that it’s not a question of whether you can, but whether you will.” –Justin LeAndre ‘14
