• a broad range of information books to support all subject areas
• access to the Library catalogue, and the E-Library
• 20 Chromebooks
• a wide range of newspapers and periodicals, in English, Spanish, French and German – to support study and leisure interests
• a photocopier/printer

You are welcome to borrow items from the library and are encouraged to request and recommend any books or resources that you would like to see added to the ever-developing collection. The Library is home to several lunchtime activities: reading groups for Years 7, 8, 9 and 10/11 and a comic book club.
There is one to one support and guidance from Dr Webb regarding study skills, revision and exam preparation. Research skills are taught in small groups or in subject classrooms by library staff. Please ask if you need help or advice with any aspect of the library service.
‘Four spaces, One Library’
The Sixth Form Library and Memorial Library offer a university-style learning environment with tailored resources, specialised journals and support from staff to assist in the development of independent learning and academic pursuits. The first is in a contemporary setting and the second in more traditionally classical surroundings.
The Main Library offers fiction, non-fiction, magazines, DVDs and audio books for Years 7-11. There are Chromebooks and laptops available for pupils in Years 7 and 8 to assist them in their studies. It offers a peaceful space before school from 8am, at break, lunchtime and after school until 6pm.
The Project Room hosts the library lunchtime clubs, the teaching of research skills and offers a study area for collaborative work.
We run a busy lending service and always welcome requests and recommendations for books and articles. One-to-one coaching is available from Dr Webb to support study skill development, revision and exam preparation.
The Virtual Library
We provide a comprehensive E-Library available on the school’s intranet, accessible via the Library lion logo on the pupil dashboard. There are links to subscription databases, journal archives and useful websites. In addition to the subject resources which can be found on the main page, there are several sub-sections which include News, Reading and Podcasts. This is a dynamic environment that is constantly changing and your feedback is always welcome.
