Think On These Things By Reverend Juanita G. Wingo
Used to the Struggle We glory in tribulations also. Romans 5:3
When you are used to the struggle, it does not faze you.
Those for whom the struggle comes infrequently get frustrated, irritated and confused when confronted by difficult situations. They break when the winds of affliction, tribulation, and trial blow fierce.
The struggle brings strength. The struggle brings endurance.
When you are used to the day in and day out grind of existence, you build up endurance muscles. You get used to strenuous circumstances, demanding environments, and tough conditions. You learn to take nothing for granted, to work hard, and not to expect automatic victories. Those who do not struggle lack the integrity of the mountainous climb and the walk through rough places. They give up easily. They cave under pressure. They give in without a fight. Let the struggle work. Rejoice in your hardships. Anything less has no power to intimidate, scare, or destroy you. Let the struggle build your character, assist your decision making, help you make choices, and release your problem solving capabilities. Those who are used to the struggle can be resourceful beyond the means of those on a smooth path. They can figure out solutions on the spot and think on their feet. They are not easily discouraged. They maintain their hope. The struggle can stretch you. Let it stretch you to greater capacity. The more the struggle works those endurance muscles, the more you can take. The more you can take, the stronger you become. The stronger you become, the calmer you can be in the struggle. Get used to the struggle. Don’t attempt to avoid it, escape it, or whine or complain about it. Let the struggle work and make you unbreakable. Power Magazine n Jan UARY 2017

In 2015, Dr. Naves opened SPEAC FOR HIM FAITH NATION, International Prophetic School of Ministry, Supernatural Gifts and Leadership Development Association. The first school of this kind that meets in Suitland, Maryland, it offers a wealth of information and mentoring for Ministry Leaders, Prophets, Pastors and all who desire to grow deeper in their call. Always the trendsetter, on November 20, 2016, Dr. Naves hosted the first of its kind, The Grand Royal Fire Prophets Ball! With the help of Radio One, The Power Magazine, faithful family, students, membership associates and ministry Leaders the word spread like wildfire! Those who came out stated that they had never seen anything like it before and that Prophet Dr. Anita Naves royally delivered a grand time and a Word of personal and collaborative prophecy for all. They all agreed she’s no FALSE PROPHET. She’s as real as they come and cut from a different cloth of spiritual royalty and fire!
Churches in the Capitol Region
In 2009, she made the front page of the Washington Post for being the 1st Pastor and person “ever” to preach and pray inside of Giant Food (grocery) store. Her story went viral and reporters and preachers from as far as Africa, London and Switzerland sought her out. What is most outstanding about Dr. Naves is her gifted ability to prophesy. Dr. Naves says “that before she had any titles, the gift of prophesy preceded her titles and life in ministry leadership.” She was 10 years old when she first discovered that there was something special about how she saw people, places and things which always proved to be “accurate and on point”. During a church revival, a visiting Prophet called her out and told her that she had been gifted with the gift of prophecy. Armed with that confirmed information, she sought deeper understanding and development under a Bishop and Prophet. While serving in various forms of leadership positions, she was recognized as a “true” Prophetic voice and released into both offices as Pastor and Prophet in 2008 by Apostle Alan G. Porter.
When asked if there is a Word from the Lord: Dr. Naves says that "God is really speaking to her about Pastors and Ministry Leaders (regardless of titles). GET it Right! God is sick and tired of Shepherds whose character, lifestyles, and or ministries are not pleasing to HIM. And those who come as Sheep, but are really ravenous greedy wolves … ripping his people off and barely healing the flock. Secondly, Do not quench the gift of prophecy!" To contact Dr. Anita G. Naves for ministry assignments or to host a prophetic class training for your ministry leaders, you may call 301-275-2016 or email Speac4Him@gmail. MOVING FORWARD
“For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” ~ Jeremiah 29:11 Happy New Year! It's official. We have moved … out of 2016 into 2017. Due to my affiliation with a local moving and storage company, I know the importance of “moving forward”. The best relocations are planned and calculated. And while others are often the results of the unexpected or an impending eviction, actually positive results can still be attained. Moving requires a degree of organization and discipline to go smoothly. Not only does it involve clearing out old debris from places that you haven’t inspected for awhile, but also discarding useless things and making preparations for the new space that you will occupy. The new year that we move into takes that kind of effort. Unless you like clutter, you may not be able to – nor should you – take everything with you in your move. So start by leaving your Disappointments behind. No doubt some of you are unhappy with our recent presidential election. In fact, if the popular vote is correct, over half the country may have extra-baggage that just has no place coming along. Disillusionment can't go either. It was very discouraging to many to see the level of depravity displayed at leadership levels. Policies aside, Barack & Michelle Obama have demonstrated the epitome of what decency and respect looks like. Charisma and charm exuberated from the Obama’s. Whereas this campaign was filled with indecency and disrespect, putting many on edge. Not to mention if foreign governments like Russia can influence our elections, what has our democracy become? While there is reasonable cause for concern, disillusionment just won't fit. We must remain Optimistic. The Bible says I know the plans I have for you ... plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. (Jeremiah 29:11). So take as much optimism as you can and keep the rest in storage.
Still, some uncertainty comes with every move, so be prepared. This year we have plenty. There are so many uncertainties associated with a new administration. We are left to wonder what will happen to our communities and country. Will families be broken up? Will health coverage be lost? Will government sanctions be overturned and reversed? Uncertainties only get in the way. Better to move them aside. One of the best ways to keep uncertainties to a minimum is good preparation. Now more than ever we must plan and strategize to better the future. Support and use minority businesses like The Power Magazine and Maggieslist.com to get connected to the services that benefit our own communities. Visit the site www. watchtheyard.com/life/black-ownedbanks. Let’s move forward and open a savings account in a Black owned Bank of your choice. We cannot continue to be a group of perpetual consumers. We do not know what’s in the future but we know who holds the future. Until next time be sure to check out yours truly and Rev. Wingo on WOLB 1010 AM on Fridays from 12 noon - 1:00 p.m., the largest Christian community radio in Baltimore, MD. You can email me at annwilliams@ramovers.com. I don’t respond to all comments but I love the feedback.
