What inspired you to become a licensed manicurist and open The Nails Cabin?

I’ve always wanted to become part of the beauty industry and open my own salon Once my mom passed away, I made a decision to get out of my own way and go for it

In your opinion, what makes a good manicurist?

A good manicurist is someone who provides excellent customer service, follows nail sanitation procedures, and has a relaxing atmosphere for clients

What services and products do you offer?

The Nail Cabin offers manicures, pedicures, acrylic enhancements, and hard & soft gel enhancements We also offer cuticle oil pens and spa parties for children and adults

If you could tribute your success to anyone in your life, who would it be?

My reason and drive for success is my son, Malik

What advice do you have for someone who wants to become a licensed manicurist? Go after your dreams Only you can turn them into reality. Don t live stuck thinking, what if. You only live once!

A Pretty Woman Who Hustles is just that! She knows what she wants and is not afraid to pursue it She makes preparations accordingly She makes sure to take time for herself while ensuring everything else is still flowing as it should She understands and sets boundaries She loves unconditionally as she knows it will all return to her

What inspired you to begin your entrepreneurial journey?

Through lived experience, I learned there was a need to support victims and survivors in their despair The organization was started to explore options of hope and healing A safe, confidential space to be heard and allow moments of peace while making choices for the next part of their lives.

How has your southern living and upbringing influenced who you are today as an entrepreneur?

I was only born in the South. I moved up North at 13 months and have lived there ever since Some of my newer memories are from the South. I have been traveling back home since 2010 at least once per year, enjoying the climate and spending time with family (holidays are special)
